India were so poor in the field it wasn't funny. Dhoni's captaincy was all over the pace to, some of his bowling changes were a little?

But once Sri Lanka made 250 the game was over.

Playing matches on consecutive days, was the main reason for that. India would have chased down that total of 300 easily, had they not played a game the previous day. :doh

back to normal. :D

Worst batting for long time by India. Not blaming pitch it was just poor pathetic bowling from Nehra, RP, Yousuf, Yuvi and Ishant.

dravid looked good but will get run out in finals.

i wouldnt blame india. its just one of those days where everything goes against you.

plus, the back to back matches, pitch conditions, no viru, gambhir, zaheer etc made us even more vulnerable !

I agree. India must have been tired after playing 2 matches in back to back days. I think they'll come back stronger in the final.

I don't think a team has ever chased down more then 300 on that pitch, so I very much doubt that. Playing two 50 over games in row really isn't that much of a big deal tbh.

not much for the batsman but is definitely a big deal for the bowlers !

Or maybe we should just not play D/N games here?
things will still be different for the 2nd inn team. just b/c you play during the Day, doesnt mean condition wont change...

Why? They use to play one day games back to back all the time. And have you ever heard of test match cricket.

The pitch will change during the day yes, but the advantage wouldn't be as big batting first.

stop moaning you indians. we played poorly yesterday. bowling was weak point and it got exposed.

jayasuriya does this to india. just like afridi we get him back to form whenever we play.

then why have intervals between games ? lets keep all the games back to back in a seven ODI series then ! :sarcasm

have you ever heard of intensity and psychology ? in tests, you can be pretty casual and dont have to use all your energy for most of the deliveries. bowling in the first 15 and slog overs can literally drain you physically and mentally especially when a guy like jayasuriya is spanking you all over the park.

also, lets have continuous test matches then. bowlers as it is get 2 days rest in between innings !

theres no doubt we played poorly. but we shouldnt be concentrating too much over the loss. most probably it was a one off day....am sure we'll bounce back !

Untill we throw that Nehra out I am supporting Sri Lanka. and get Kohli in for DK.

Did I say anything about playing seven ODI's in seven day's, I don't think I did. Btw test cricket is 10X the cricket one day cricket is so I have no idea what you are going on about. Ask any bowler in the world that's played both ODI and test cricket what's harder on your body, I don't think any of them would say bowling in the first 15 overs is any harder on there body.

India has to lose again :hpraise

Thats none of your business... Where and what they do is their life. There is no conclusive evidence that partying the day before the match has an adverse effect on your performance for the game (at times, partying could help you switch off from the game and then could recharge your batteries for the next day). So stop that nonsense. Even if they partied, not your problem.
