Unofficial Buildup to the 2010/11 Ashes

Some people enjoy thrashings, other people don't. So there you have it.
If you support a team, you should support it winning. If you want to support the game of cricket, go ahead, but you're not a true Australian fan if you don't care whether they win or lose.

He created the "Australia is a hard team to fall in love with" thread. What else can you expect? :laugh

I'd be insulted if I was called this so-called "true" fan of the current Australian cricket team, so it's all good.

I won't reply to tumtum, as he is still struggling with pubescence.

When are the tickets released?

I usually buy my tickets when I arrive there. It's not as if the seats are all filled, unless it's the AFL grandfinal and the Pies are in it ;)

Btw 4 of my posts were deleted for lameness :) Should have been more tbh

Mate, last year the the Boxing Day Test there were 90 000+ people. Book ASAP.

We know people who couldn't get tickets a couple of hours after they went on sale.

Definitely worth prebooking for Boxing Day, I doubt it'll be easy to just walk up and sit in Bay 13 (which is just disappointing really).

And now that I'm no longer a mod, let me say that England sucks. Wow, feels good to say that s word again.

Dates are locked in!!
Extra matches for England's Ashes tour | Australia Cricket News | Cricinfo.com

England's playing 3 warmup first class games in a desperate attempt to not look rusty during their upcoming thrashing :p

And there are 7 ODIs :facepalm 5 should be the maximum allowed. It's especially stupid since they are shoehorning in a quick ODI series with Sri Lanka in early November of only 3 ODIs. Sri Lanka's just as good as the Poms, probably better.

I'm disappointed with the fixture as far as Tassie's point of view. We only get one ODI out of the 10 played, including grounds that have already hosted a Test. IMO we should of got a Sri Lanka ODI as well. Anyway I reckon the Aussie A V.S England will be a good show.

I like the summer schedule, plenty of cricket to watch. Would have preferred 5 ODIs with both SL and England.

The Lankans are playing someone other than India!!

I'd like to put on my complaining cap again. Look at these figures!

International matches

Perth: 3
Adelaide: 3
Melbourne: 4
Sydney: 4
Brisbane: 3
Hobart: 1

Surely we deserve one other match.I reckon that Sydney ODI against Sri Lanka should be ours!

ODI's after the tests again! I thought they would learn from the last series. England have only 3 days between the last test and a warm up game as well. I'm not keen on these fixtures myself.
