Warne-Muralidaran Trophy (Australia in Sri Lanka) Aug-Sep 2011

Yep, Copeland must play now as far as I'm concerned. I know its just a warm up match but 5-47 in those conditions is a great effort. Siddle is just far too inconsistent like we saw in the Ashes.

I don't think Copeland has played overseas, certainly not in SL so a pretty dam good showing to get 5 fer in his first outing. Basically carries on where he left off from Aussie domestic cricket.

Khawaja is the opener which gives him a great chance to impress. Aggressive start by Hughes, looks to have the confidence back in his game.

Just when you thought out selectors were crazy, SL are following suit by naming a 16 man squad of their own!

He seems to be giving commentary, don't know if he's at the game.
Copeland with both wickets, his Test chances are starting to look real good.

Interesting how he points out that Copeland was often at first slip - that's pretty cool :D

Good signs for him to get 5. As for selection, I've never rated Siddle and always thought Copeland should at least get a look, but I don't want his selection to be just a knee jerk reaction to 5 wickets. I want Clarke to pick whichever bowler he trusts to do the job. But Copeland just seems way more reliable to me.

I can see the potential is Siddle but he needs to watch some Stuart Broad videos as that is how he needs to be bowling. From the reports coming out of the tour match he was unsurprisingly too short.

Copeland has outbowled Siddle in each of the matches they have played together so really it should be a no brainier on who to pick.

I thought Lyon would be better but it looks like Beer is having the upper hand :facepalm

I haven't watched the ODI series because I'm not really interested in ODI series' but how was Clarke's captaincy?

I thought he captained well. He managed Mitch Johnson well. He didn't seem to want to bowl Steve smith much, but thankfully he got dropped.

I don't really think any questions should be asked over his captaincy, but he hasn't scored runs in a big chase yet and is not in great form with the bat. I reckon Shane Watson should have been given the captaincy as he holds his place in the side the most firmly.

Marsh didn't come in at 3 and Khawaja is on his way to a 100. Surely that means Khawaja will be in the side.

It should be really interesting to see the order though. I would assume Khawaja is definitely playing now, I'd rather see him at 3 than down the order personally.

Hmm Hussey out cheaply and sounded like he struggled out there. Hope we don't muck around too long with him this time round if he looks to be out of form.

Out for 12 and it looks like Marsh has blown his chances of test selection. Khawaja gets the spot now I reckon.
