West Indies in Australia

Hinds experience will help out Devon.
As for Gayle its better to be safe than sorry. Hopefully this means he won't have the heart problem again.

I can't see Hinds putting up much of a fight to be honest. He will be knocked over very early in both innings. I hope he proves me wrong though.

Last time Hinds came here he did very well. I haven't really followed him since but wasn't he pushed down the order?

Yeah he went to no. 6/7, not sure if that's the best for him. I'd like to see him get more runs, he is more capable than his average, like most of the Windies lineup.

He is fresh and hasn't been scarred this tour compared to the others. So who knows he may do well. He definitely won't bat down the order. He surely will replace Gayle.

He will, who else would open for WI? No point in making a make shift opener when Hinds has tons of experience.

3rd Test

West Indies have won the toss and elected to bat
Teams
Australia 1 Justin Langer, 2 Matthew Hayden, 3 Ricky Ponting (capt), 4 Brad Hodge, 5 Michael Hussey, 6 Andrew Symonds, 7 Adam Gilchrist (wk), 8 Shane Warne, 9 Brett Lee, 10 Stuart MacGill, 11 Glenn McGrath, 12 Nathan Bracken.

West Indies 1 Devon Smith, 2 Wavell Hinds, 3 Ramnaresh Sarwan, 4 Brian Lara, 5 Shivnarine Chanderpaul (capt), 6 Dwayne Bravo, 7 Dwayne Smith, 8 Denesh Ramdin, 9 Daren Powell, 10 Fidel Edwards, 11 Corey Collymore.

Lovin this interview with Langer. Hes come back to save Aus - from the terrible bus driving.
Now hes saying he wanted to push Hussey down the stairs :laugh

If Lee doesn't get him first. He is on fire right now. Not over straining in his run up but still getting 150km/h. He is looking more and more like the test bowler now.

Lara gets one back, trapped in front offering no shot to Symonds, Dar unmoved. Lara deserves his luck no question, but poor old Symonds just can't catch a break in the Test match arena.

sarwan gone. Pretty ordinary hook shot. Should of just ducked under it. Hope Lara makes a big innings and he needs some luck going his way.

Commentators are saying it was out, hawkeye says too high and Mark Nicholos saying it pitched 2/3 outside leg stump. Umpire said it was going down leg side.

Very ordinary stuff by Sarwan but this is what he has done all series long. Get a good start then gets out.

Holding and Chappell saying not out. It quite clearly pitched outside leg. Benefit of the doubt has to go to the batsman.
