West Indies in England 2009

Gower is going gaga over Fidel's pace lol, I can see how guys like Mahmood get picked for England.

I don't even bother watching England much these days. Fed up of the rubbish selection, the rubbish coach selection, the rubbish performance, the lack of ambition, the higher run rates in test cricket than our odi cricket...

These days i find my peace by searching google images for pictures of Goat's

Nasser Hussain proving that Bopara > Cook, Pietersen and Collingwood. Would love it if he made a hundred here, would be back to back hundreds for RV!

50 for Ravi. This lad is class.

That was a brilliant cover drive from Prior, his foot movement has been more assured than all 4 dismissed batsmen. Looked to actually get forward to cover the swing, not play on the back foot like Collingwood and Pietersen.

Edit: Wahey, that's 2 batsmen in the England line-up averaging 50+. Prior now has a 1000 Test runs at an average of 50. Better than Gilly tbh :p

Drop, could be costly.

England going nicely currently barring that last shot, Bopara will almost definitely be at number 3 for the Ashes barring injury now.

And out goes Prior, decentish innings from him very poor dissmissal. Time to see if Broads good enough for batting at 7 then.

Oh balls. Just as England were looking to make a decent score. Oh well, well done to Prior for having a good innings and getting England out of a huge mess. Was a poor shot though. C'mon Ravi, get a century!

Edwards unlucky again, had a whole bunch of catches dropped in the Caribbean and it started early again.

I think that 300 would be an acceptable score for this innings anything above that from here would be great. Quite a bit of swing Onions and Anderson should be dangerous with this kind of movement.

I don't care, Foster is a miles better keeper than Prior and that's what a keeper should be picked on. It's not the keeper and the bowlers' fault if the top order can't get the runs they're supposed too.

No, but the team comes before the player. Prior can play as a batsman alone, and although not the greatest keeper, is improving. People keep mentioning Foster, he plays at Chelmsford, his averages will always be slightly better than they are. He's good, he'll get a chance in the T20 WC. For now, playing with 5 bowlers, we need Prior at 6. Foster/Flintoff at 6 is impractical.
