West Indies tour of New Zealand

A captain's inngs by Galye...i guess he will play few shots after getting to 100 now (8*4's & 5*6's) This is a good partnership for WI,Nash has contributed 50% in that...

Gayle scored his century. That's great. Whenever West Indies get a 200 runs lead, they really should attack, because time will be short to dismiss New Zealand. His partnership with Nash is really slow though. Currently it's 2.16.

I doubt that they are thinking of winning this match atm. Gayle knows that after Nash there is nobody that can stick around so I'm thinking they just want to play out the day like this.

This is their chance to win the Test series, so if they want to win they should accelerate later on. I would say a 300 runs lead would be safe on this pitch.

New ball will be available soon.

Yea 300+ runs would be perfect but Gayle and Nash are the only ones that can get them that far. Cant count on Ramdin to score runs.

You are forgetting a certain ton too quickly.

I see 5 guys, who can half wield a bat, and two of them are pure batsmen, with some application, why not?

Taylors ton was way more than what he can usually score. He played great on that day but I don't really expect those performances too often. I would like him to score like that every time but I know better than that.

And out of the next 5 guys that are coming in Taylor is the best batsman, everyone else sucks. Wouldn't put any money on any of them making 50+.

I didn't necessarily mean another big score, but a quickfire 20/30, would do a lot, and for the other guys, they just need to stand with Gayle, surely that's not too much to ask? But I can understand you not trusting them. :p

Yea that's really what I want and expect from Taylor. If he can stick around and score 20/30 runs its will be good anything after that is just great.

And I hope that you saw Ramdin getting out to Vetorri in the 1st innings, that's why I don't trust him.

First innings of New Zealand and West Indies ended in 107 and 126.4 overs. So if West Indies want to win this Test, they should really start hitting and even let New Zealand let bat today. Because of the light, 90 overs won't be played fully tomorrow.

didn't that one go of the arm for Nash, It didn't look like it touched the glove.

Interesting thing is that New Zealand have never won a match at this ground. Four matches were drawn and two lost. And there never has been a succesful runchase.

Gayle really should start having a go.

hey Mob, what I tell you about Ramdin. Man I cant stand this guy. I backed him a few years back because I thought he had talent but now I realized this guy sucks. Baugh would have done way better than this guy. And Ramdin will probably play in the ODIs since he is the VC.

Haha, and I didn't blame you either for not trusting these guys before, then Ramdin does that. Guy still does have talent, terrible misuse of it though. I miss the days of Ridley Jacobs. :p
