West Indies tour of New Zealand

I would not put such a responsibility of opening on Barath, not just yet, I wish he could gain some experience maybe in County Cricket, even if is for one season. Or maybe a tour (4 day matches) against say Zim or even test against Bangladesh, that would get him ripe for the big stage.

when did the WICB say that they will bring back the WI A team. If they do it this year he should be selected.

WICB crying brokes, I don't think we will see that in the new year. I had hopes that they would embraced Stanford and tell Digicel to stick it somewhere, but they seems to be pushing him away.
But certainly any A that is called up, he will be good to go, he has the talent, and when a guy like Brian Lara take you with him as a guest, you better believe he sees something in you.
Cricinfo - The boy who impressed Lara at 11

yea he is a real talent. Lara had a eye for picking young talents. He was the one that selected Edwards.
Barath did really good in this years List A competition.

I am so excited for our next generation of Test cricket, so many superb talents brewing up.

depending on our age or when we started following cricket it will be the first generation that we can follow from when they were young cricketers to seeing them play international cricket.

Gayle out. Feel bad that he didn't get his 200 but he did what the team needed and he has put his team in a a good position.

Yeah, for me, that should be the next two generations, perhaps even 3 if I'm lucky.

I think Jamie How dropped the match last night. 2 hours to break the Edwards partnership cost us.

Gonna be a draw. If McCullum or Ryder do some ridiculous innings we could chase it. (Like Astles 222 vs England). We won't get bowled out. This pitch is a road, still. They probably should put a little more in it next time so that by day 5 it's not a better strip then it was day 1.

2 draws makes for a pretty sorry test series though some periods of the cricket was good. At least we'll win the ODI series comfortably. I hope we win all those games though.

whaaaaaaaaaaaat.:crying:crying

come on Jerome, you cant drop those. seriously.

that was the test you dropped Jerome.

NZ 49/1,Min overs remaining 46.0,they require another 263 runs with 9 wickets remaining ,that means required Run Rate is 5.76,will they go for it?and win the series?

I dont think NZ will really go after it..they should play few shots,if runs come well and good,if wickets fall they should go defensive.they still have 9 more wickets.

How gets 19 of one Fidel over. Costly drop by Taylor. Dont like the way things are going at the moment.

Well How is on the road of saving his test career (for now). A very streaky 54 and he got dropped too. Funny how cricket can be so cruel and yet so forgiving.
