Dunedin has Morning rain, then occasional Showers. So we should get some play in

Looking at a few weather sources it could be one of those on and off days I wish it was being played in the north island looks like its fine everywhere.

i woke up half an hour ago just for it but its not starting till 10 (aus time)
ah well forecast is morning showers
but doesnt start till afternoon
think there will be showers at night though

It could be because of daylight savings? It doesn't get dark now until 8 O'Clock so presumably it gets lighter later? (I normally wake up to late to notice the difference)

Oram has officially been ruled out. Bad news, last time I think he played in Dunedin he hit a brilliant hundred. Looks like Kyle Mills gets another chance (unless they go with 2 spinners)

Mills/Patel (at 11) With bad weather, i'd rather Mills. He's a better batsman and his tight bowling might frustrate the stroke makers.

Nothing wrong with McCullum at 6 though. Franklin was half chosen as a batsman. If we use Mills to open the bowling, Franklin can take Oram's role with the ball and not open and be relied more on his batting. O'Brien is used to first change and has done really well in that role.

Franklin would be WAY better than Elliott. Though your tail batting order irottev is a bit strange, why put O'Brien ahead of Gillespie? And if Patel came in, he wouldn't be at 11, he can kinda bat...

wow big blow for NZ, and a big break for WI.

Baker in the team, I didnt expect that at all but I liked him in the 3 ODIs against Pakistan. Gayle and Sars are going to be the spinners.

Powell is only good with the new ball if it can be said that he is any good at all. So they let him use it for a few overs and than Fidel should come in. Baker should have opened with Taylor who is looking reall good btw.
