Awesome 60 odd from Cossy, wonder if he'll get a bowl today. Good opening spell of bowling by Lee now the other bowlers have to back that up especially with Gayle still there.

WEST INDIES LOSE 3RD WICKET

West Indies are in a bad position at 3/103 after 21.4 overs. Marlon was the last to go when he skied a catch to captain Ricky Ponting off Ben Hilfenhaus bowling. The great Brian Lara is the new batsmen in and will need to make a huge partnership between Chris Gayle who is on 55 not out

LARA AND GAYLE GET WEST INDIES BACK ON TRACK

Braian Lara and Chris Gayle have shared a 45 run partnership to get West Indies back on track to 3/148 off 30 overs. Gayle is on 81 not out and Lara is on 17 not out but it will take alot more to win this game. They still need 159 runs to win off 20 overs

Hmm, interesting. If Australia get a wicket or two I think is theres, but if this partnerships prospers then it is game on.

LARA AND GAYLE SET WINDIES UP FOR BIG FINISH

This match has taken a dramatic turn around after Chris Gayle and Brian Lara shared a 100+ run partnership to get there team to 3/227 off 40 overs. The windies need 79 off 60 balls to make this one of the best one day games ever. Gayle is not out on 129 and Lara is not out on 48

Lara & Gayle at the crease batting well... this is definitely a dangerous sign for Aussies.. Its going to be a close finish!

We're in big trouble the only thing we got going is that gap between runs needed and balls left but with these two still there it's in the bag for WI.

GAYLE FALLS FOR 149

Chris Gayles brilliant innings has come to an end for 149. He nicked an edge right into the hands of Michael Hussey. It will be an exciting finish to this match as West Indies still need 49 from 33 balls which is possible with Brian Lara still in

LARA MAKES 93 NOT OUT TO DEFEAT AUSTRALIA IN NAILBITTER

Brian Lara has made a brilliant 93 not out to defeat world number 1 Australia in a nail bitting clash. West Indies made 50 runs in the last 6 overs to give Australia its first lost for the World Cup. Brett Lee was good for Australia taking 4/64 but the end result is the only thing that matters
