Your best or most stupid dismissals?

Left a delivery but the ball just clipped my bat and popped up into the air, simple catch for 1st slip :facepalm

My best dismissal would be bowling 5 fast in swinging yorkers and then bowling a slow ball yorker on the last ball to trap the batsman LBW. Feels so good when a plan comes together :).

I was once dismissed run out after a fielder pushed me out of the crease trying to pick up the ball and then knocked the stumps over. -___-

For the first time in my career I hit three boundaries in the same over off a spinner. Thought it was enough from that over nad went on to defend the next ball but only to nick it to keeper (Rather I could have gone for another drive mid off was empty)

AI batsman played a striaght shot off my bowling. it bounced from my hand and the silly mid off fielder took a catch for me

Last Game, Clean bowled by a spinner in Career when I was on 99 lol

That's a graphical glitch, rather than superhuman catching. Playing that shot with a mid-off fielder in, I'd expect you to get caught.

It looks weird, because usually this kind of game uses graphics to reflect an underlying model (rather than modelling graphics and using those results) - but what happened was:

1) you played an uppish stroke
2) game checked and found a fielder potentially in position to take a catch
3) game computed chance of the catch being taken
4) game picked a random number, and compared with the chance of the catch. In this case, the random number said "yep, caught it"
5) Game produces graphics to reflect this result

Oh, and on-topic, my most stupid dismissals at the moment are all still of the "Wait, Yes, No, Sorry!" variety.

My best (in bowling) was getting one to turn just enough that the batsman was playing down the wrong line, and the ball clipped off stump. Very, very satisfying.

This sounds like what the Codemasters F1 games did (does? I'm not sure if its ever actually changed...) with Practice/Qualifying sessions. The times other than your own would be simulated in the background: the other cars on the track weren't actually running proper laps but instead just there as flavour when you were driving. This meant that you could have your last qualifying lap completely ruined by a guy who would set the pole position lap just after you crossed the line...

Caught at fine leg is worst form of dismissal for me. I see fielder standing far back at fine leg and when I flick it, more often than not he just warps into the circle and catches me out :mad.

i tried to the leave the ball but pressed it a bit too late, batsman dipped his bat down just before he lifted it above his head, catching the ball with the back of the bat and sort of scooping it into the keepers hand. it's difficult to explain how stupid it looked.

leaving was also how I scored my stupidest four, having learnt a lesson from the previous dismissal, if I've not got time to press leave then I just watch it sail by, one time got this a bit wrong, bowler bowled a straight one which bounced up over the stumps and smack into the middle of my stationary batsman holding his bat horizonitally behind him. which it came off and was deflected down between the keepers legs for 4 (or at least 2, I can't remember if did go all the way for 4)

Yeah have never been able to use the leave option as the ball is to fast to think whether to do it or not....That's why I suggested the option of using only the LAS[foot placement] as the leave option instead of the current one...

I caused a stupid dismissal of my partner. I hit one straight very hard which hit my non striker in other end & went to the nearest fielder who threw the ball quickly on to the stumps. My partner was run-out at the non strikers' end. Very unfortunate & unexpected.

This one I'm not sure whether it's best or most stupid. It's certainly frustrating, because I'm not good enough with the bat that I'm down with terrible umpiring decisions just being part of the game.

Right arm wrist spinner bowling to me, I played into the on side but the ball struck my pad. I was certain I'd heard an edge, so I didn't worry - until I was given out.

Concerned that my ears might be failing, I checked the interactive replay in slow motion. The line of the ball was clearly outside leg (pitched on leg stump and didn't turn), until a rather clear thick outside edge (still don't know why I missed it, because there's no feedback on batting) and the ball struck my back pad.

To be fair, it probably would have (just) caught leg stump after the edge changed the direction ...

*edit*
And, to be extra fair, the ball before had also struck me on the pad and I thought it was a much better appeal but was turned down. Perhaps the umpire felt he owed them one?

Another stupid dismissal of me causing to my partner. Was so happy to see AI(my batting partner) marching towards 50 but I caused him the mess.

I was on non-striker's end, AI hit a straight powerful shot that carried straight & hit my bat and went straight to the extra cover fielder! I was like, 'what the hell'!

Sad to see my partner going on 48 runs, that's the highest score from AI I have witnessed while I am at the batting crease.

I bowled a bouncer hit the batsman's head/helmet and ball landed on ground and rolled onto the stumps. Hilarious stuff.

i was on 99, i went for a drive and missed it (off a spinner). stood around for a bit pushing circle to get back in my ground but he would just stay there. then the keeper took the bails off and i was out stumped. I was so gutted I turned it off then and there.
