Your best or most stupid dismissals?

Just had an absolute howler by the umpire (wasn't recording unfortunately :facepalm) and once again it's Mr. Billy Bowden! :mad

Bowler bowls it down the leg side and I go to pull it away but miss by an absolute mile...Bowden gives it out! :facepalm

^This image doesn't really do it any justice but believe me when I say that I missed the ball by an absolute mile! I'd say that there was clear daylight between bat and ball but actually it's the wicketkeeper! :lol bad joke.

This is an acknowledged bug - I'm not certain if it's fixed in patch 2 or not, though.

Yeah I have also faced the same issue but that's not an issue as its some matter releated to physics which Ross explained when I asked him about this....He said that what the graphics shows is actually not what it seems but the result is correct...I will find the post if I can...

P.S: Did you hear a sound of the edge??

Nope, there was no sound of an edge at all. Oh right so it's a bug and not an actual error by the umpire, Sorry Billy...

No its not a bug as that's the way the game works...If given out then its umpire's fault not the game...Did you review it??

Yeah, nah, there's a couple of different things that can happen.

One is a bug, where there's no sound and you're miles away from the ball (I've got video of this kind of thing in the bug-report thread) but an edge gets registered.

The other is a graphics glitch, where the ball is clearly hit (I've had full blooded strokes like this) but the ball doesn't seem to touch the bat before it changes direction.

I have run myself out twice by getting so excited I actually hit the ball I just had to get a run. Other than that, I usually miss time and loop it up in the air or just get myself bowled out.

No reviews in Zimbabwe domestic cricket :noway

Doesn't help, anyway. The bug means the game registers an edge, so the review goes "yeah, there was an edge"

The video below is of the interactive replay, after I reviewed the decision - and was astonished to be given out even after review.

I keep forgetting that I don't need to move the RAS down to defend a shot - keep playing the ball onto the stumps :rolleyes

In pro or legendary modes, it's pretty difficult to choose the footwork as well as shot within a split of a second.. there should be an option to slow down the gameplay in the future patches...

Today i tried to cut a ball, got the line wrong, should have been hooking. Ball hit the batsman's chest, on to this arm, on to his wicket. On 81 at the time... Nightmare

Playing a custom match, facing down Mitch Johnson (I genuinely fear facing Him and oddly Sharma), Defend the first 5 out swinging balls, before trying to sweep down leg, completely misreading the line of the ball as it curves inwards, loops off the middle of the bat into middle stump. :(

It is difficult. That's what makes it great, IMO.
