To add to that^ It should also be made possible to save those replays, maybe we could have 5 or a limited number of slots for our favorite replays. And it would be great to watch those replays from different camera angles just like in real T.V. :)

Yes that would be amazing, I can just see it now on youtube, montage's of people best wickets, strange dismissals, etc.:thumbs

General
Need more realistic gameplay experience not only for graphics including batting shots, ball movement, bowler actions, camera angle, fielders, crowd reactions, celebrations..etc

Should include gameplay camera settings(like batsman camera, bowler end camera..etc)

Tournaments(T20WC,ICC Champions Trophy, IPL, BBL, Tours)

ICC Rankings based on our gameplay

Multiplayer in pc version please please please(getting bored for single player)

Cheerleaders for T20, spider cam for replays, shortcut keys for replays.

Challenge mode(user can start playing in the middle from previous interesting real cricket match(like chasing 434 in 50)

Gameplay should behave differently based on pitch types. ex if its a hard pitch user can able to score (160-200+) in T20 and if its a bowling pitch able to score only (100-140)

Batsman can score freely in home grounds when compare to away.

Batting
Batsman shot selection depends on batsman ability, batsman key skills or strength & batsman weakness(including six hitting) like ross taylor can hit legside sixes more easily, raina getting out in short balls, hitters can hit powerful when compare to pure batsman(like sachin, clare they are not good hitters these kind of batsman can hit sixes when perfect timing)

Should include all types of shots, advance shots and also include some stylish shots for top class batsman(who has 100% batting skill). include paddly sweep, switch hit, scoop, upper cut.

Pressing single button while batting(ashes09) is not interesting.Gap hitting based on timing and skill of the batsman(instead of the arc shown in ashes09).

Batsman Edge is the most important one. Ball edges is not good in ashes09 most of the times getting edge and also not carrying to the keeper. It should be more realistic(carrying to the keeper, edge over the keeper or slip fielders depends on bowler speed and batsman power, top edge carrying bowler&close fielders, inside edge bowled)

Bowling
More bowling actions

Should not able to bowl six yorker in an over. Hitting six in a yorker ball also its a funny thing

Ball swings, ball passing through batsman should be realistic especially new ball. if its a old ball should not swing more.

Fielding
Realistic fielding efforts(catching, diving, overthrows, misfielding)

Field setting(close and outfielders) should vary depends on the batsman key skills(if he is a good cover driver or hook shoter the fielder shud be placed there automatically)

@ross
ive said this bfore in q/a thread about the playstation 2 release
but then i saw even fifa 13 being released for ps2
n u can b pretty sure of ur sales of the game with ps2 here in india...as well in other regions!!
hope u consider it again.....

Isn't piracy as much of an issue on the PS2 as it is on the PC? I don't have a console ( I might get a PS3 ) but I sincerely hope Big Ant don't release any disc version of their Cricket games as they would be pirated heaps, you may even end up losing on your genuine console customers, I think even the Steam release will be pirated but at least it would not cut you any losses (?)...

.

i think that you guys should add a mode in the game that is similar to stick cricket super sixes(man vs machine), i think that the way the robot cheats adds variety to the game and makes it a lot of fun.

It would be gr8 if there was a champions trophy compition in career mode. For example, if you are playing in bbl and make the final, your team qualifiys for champions trophy. In RLL2, the size of the home crowd depended on the current performce of the home team. It would be awesome if both of these could be in the game.:thumbs

You mean Champions league? Since BBL is domestic Cricket and Champions Trophy is an international tournament.

i think there should a career mode , for e.g first we should create a player then we have to go through various stages ( for e.g ranji , under 19 , then for international ,or playing for english domestic teams or australian domestic teams , etc) like we have to hard work to make our career successful , to take take our career to international level , to become a legend in cricket like brian lara , sachin tendulkar , creating new milestones

idea

I was just wondering if it would be a good idea to add some challenges which would be in play during a match. There could be some rewards which are tied up to these challenges. Here is an example of what Im saying:

Say I am playing as India with Dhoni as the captain. It is a T20 match, and the opponent has made 180 runs. Now, when I go in to bat, a pop up will be shown saying something like-

Dhoni: "Make the opening overs count. Score 60 runs with the loss of max 1 wicket in the first 6 overs"

Now, this objective will be optional. If you complete it, it will give you a reward withing the match itself (e.g. put bowler's confidence down resulting in him providing loose deliveries, boost batsman's confidence, increase the confidence of the next 2-3 batsmen who would come in).
However, if you do not complete the objective, your confidence will not boost much, and the bowlers confidence will remain same.

This was just an example. This would mimic reality, as in a real situation as well, a plan is set in place, and if those plans are executed well, then the confidence of the whole team goes up. It would also enhance the whole gameplay, as you would have multiple objectives which would be calculated in real time, and thus it will always keep you on your toes.

This could also be incorporated in the career mode, as it can be linked to players being dropped if they do not perform as per the team's plans.

That's almost a copy and paste on the idea I had and posted a few days ago. I should have put a copyright on it. But don't worry, I'm sure my post will be singled out as being off topic and deleted. :rolleyes
