one of the things could be your cricket14 exe is flagged as virus by anti virus and is not letting the update tocomplete
 
I'm facing an issue now where steam automatically downloads the updates for DBC14 and keeps on looping them not letting me to play the game. I last played the game some 14 days ago.It keeps on updating by downloading a file of 87 mb and after it finishes downloading it starts once again saying an update is needed. It did and I also restored it from the quarantine and excluded it from scans. But this was some days ago.[DOUBLEPOST=1407785428][/DOUBLEPOST]I mean the quarantine and recovery of course.
 
I tried once again and now it actually completed the update and let me play...Weird though it is, Am happy that am able to play it :)
 
Hands up who is still making an Ashes Cricket 2013 joke there?

While I like jokes, worth pointing out that Big Ant have not said anything at all about timing. Indeed there's a chance that there might be an interim patch to focus on the Xbox save issue before the 'Patch 3' containing co-op and the like is released.
 
...that's tragedy not comedy.
