Before you go and blow a load on new graphics cards, you may as well spend a bit of time trying to get everything to work using new drivers/software tweaks etc.
If the latest nVidia drivers don't work, try the drivers here: http://www.omegadrivers.net/
They've been tweaked for gameplay.
Just...
Cam, several people seem to be having trouble with the GeForce MX440 card with BLIC.
Have you tried updating the drivers for your card, and try to run it in the lowest resolution possible, with 16 bit colour. Maybe your card is having trouble rendering the stadium and crowd if the nets work fine.
The most obvious first answer is to make sure you have the latest drivers for your graphics card, and to make sure that it is supported by BLIC. It should do, I think you can run Geforce2's at lower resolutions.
Bit of a p!sser, seeing as how the game has a big nVidia advert on startup.
Maybe because the vast majority of people who play these sports games are supporters of a team, and would like to take that team through various competitions etc.
Batting for the other side?? It's just not cricket!
Sounds like you're timing the ball too late, or not pressing the attacking shot button. Try playing the shot a little earlier. Cover drives are relatively simple to play, though you may tend to edge to the keeper quite often if the timing's out, or you hit against the spin.
It has every right to be in this forum!
It is his comparison of Cricket 2004 to Brian Lara International Cricket.
People who read the cricket 2004 forums probably already play Cricket 2004, I guess he was trying to point out that there's another cricket game worth playing.
You're entitled...
Mahesh Babu makes great claims, backs none of them up, and causes threads to go off topic and grow large, with absolutely no substance.
Put up or shut up!
If you've got a semi decent PC, get the PC version.
The resolution will be much better. It's easier to patch, and you can pick up an adapter for less than a tenner so you can plug in your PS2 controller.
I've progressed from village to county to test, and I still think that the batting doesn't differ in difficulty much from village to county.
The bowling, however, does, and I still think it's harder to bowl a side out in a test match on the county level, than at the test level.
Batting...
Yeah it's a shame..
Maybe if Bell had spent more time at the crease recently, there'd be more media around on his bat.
Any possibility of Dennis Lillie's aluminium bat being made? The game just isn't controversial enough as it stands. :upray
Fair play! No-one was happier that England won the Ashes, but if it wasn't for Australia's (Especially Warne's and Lee's) class and fight, the wins would've come much easier.
Even at their best, England have had to fight their hardest to beat the best team in the world.
It's a rennaisance for...
I quite like that the umpire gets it wrong occasionally, makes it frustrating at times, but adds a touch of "humanity" to the game.
Problem with hitting outside the line of off stump is that the computer opponent always plays a shot, no matter how lousy, thus negating lbw.
Another problem with...
I've not had the fielder run past the ball, but I have had the fielder pick the ball up just inside the rope, and the the umpire gives 4, just as he's about to throw in.
