2nd August Screens

Wow!

The fielder knew exactly where the ball was going right before it was struck giving him time to dive, even so he missed the ball by miles.

Normally he would have defended himself but the settings for the AI were "superhuman" with self preservation set to zero.

We debated showing this screenshot as we both knew it couldn't happen in "real life" and that mostly players would protect themselves in such a position. In the end we wanted to show that you can break ties with reality and not be bound by it - is this normal in the game? No.

And if the fielder had got to the ball he would probably be dead. Are there funerals in this game it seems to have everything else.:rolleyes

While we are talking about nuts, How many times do we have to hit a batsman in nuts to retire him out :spy

However much you enjoy being here Ross, this place must drive you nuts sometimes!

I cannot think of what will happen with the other games screenshots.... omg...

I get it where you've been spending your time. Creating a new sig everyday. :p

So if you turn self preservation right up does the fielder run in the other direction? Or back to the pavillion :p

Digging head in sand would be quicker ;)

Are there such settings in the game? I thought there are only 5 difficulty settings and the AI will act depending on the difficulty level selected.

On a different note... does the "superhuman" setting apply only to fielding or will the setting transform AI into "super batsmen" and "super bowlers" too along with "super fielders"?

They may not be available to us in the game but they'd be there for testing purposes, e.g. they want to test the wickets being bowled physics so they make the bowlers superhuman.

If it's there, they may as well have a "Superhuman" mode which makes the AI sort of invincible or extremely hard to beat... will enhance the longevity once you are able to beat the AI on "Hard" mode.

Imagine playing a Test with AI set on "Superhuman" mode and you actually get your @$$ kicked by the AI :yes

It's not available in the shipped product
