Its good to hear that you are working on a new version of the patch. With the current patch, personally I find very easy to play the spinnes rather than fast bowlers. With slow delivery (w/ spinners) the boundaries come really easy.

The field patch scares me. It's hard enough to make boundharies without your patch so I'm feeling a bit challenged.But anyway the patch is good. :

Sonic but make sure only one of them is available in single version otherwise the computer will select one and again the problem of uniformity arise.
In this patch you solve the problem of selecting the field and additionally you have placed fielders stratagically, next one you may change the field but just keep one in each category avialable or release two kind of patch one for online games and other for personal play.

I think the cover boundary needs moving round by one more position for spinners and maybe also an extra slip required for fast bowlers?....thanks sachida, yes the computer does select just one field of each type before moving on to another, so I guess it would be quite pointless me having varied fields for each one. I'm quite happy with how things are, but I always like to think the grass is greener elsewhere and that you can improve things. Well, EA sports won't know what I'm talking about [thanks fot that - Ed :zimrahil: ] but the makers of the gran turismo games might, so you should always strive for perfection. I may tweak a little then, but let me know of any better positions you guys can think of for these spinners

I am seriously considering releasing my "take cover" patch. Basically, you will start and end with 5 or more men on the boundary, scarey stuff, retreat has 9 men out deep - yes, that's every fieldsman other than the bowler and wicket keeper. This patch also breaks the one day field rules and you will not have these silly field restrictions any longer - catching practise anyone? :

Let me know if you guys want this or not, I held it back because it basically means the rulebook is thrown out the window - agressive field? what aggressive field :

sonic the only problem with that kind of field is that mis hits will not be cought. I guess if you add another tweak in to it, it will be fun and that is double wicket tourney. So what happens is that once two batsman is out game is over, rather then ten and field is all defensive and game is over in 5 overs?

India started chase watchfully to settle itself with new OCB field rules (Online Cricket Board) and give itself reasonable chance to get some lead. But Tendulkar went out pretty quickly. Ganguly showed some good batting but soon got out on his fifty.

India took toll of some rank bad umpiring. Two catches given without ball having even near to the bat. May be the Eden Garden spectators made it difficult for upmires. At the end of day two Laxman was standing tall and looked in great form. India was placed at 337/6. The match was evenly poised.

As Laxman was going smoothly, Kumble decided to give him support till India reaches close to the Pakistan total. But once again rank bad umpiring took toll of Kumble. Soon Laxman lost his concentration and tried to nudge the ball which went straight to wicketkeeper and Moin Khan showed why it is one of the best wicket keepers.

Just two wickets left and about 50 more runs to score, can India overpass the total?

well played sachida, thats a very good score. I must say this is a very close game. what is it nearly midway thru day 3? its very hard to see a clear winner at this point, good game guys B)

Lets see what Rangeela comes up with. I suspect he will pile arround 500 in another 60 overs and I will be left to score about 10 an over to win on last day.

sachida - it would be good news if Rangeela got the runs quickly as it would give you more time at the crease. If he played sensibly then my guess is it will be a pretty big score, i think you could end up with something like 70 overs to win the match, so you should be at least in with a chance
