I plan on doing a full game, being Nottinghamshire and hopefully if I perform well, will get the job of Australia later on. There won't be loads of writing. Maybe just a few lines of the summary and the scorecards and maybe a few pics if I can be bothered.

Nottinghamshire vs Leicestershire 1st Innings

Squads_NOT_v_LEI.jpg

The season had kicked off with Nottinghamshire playing Leicestershire. Both Klokker and Lawson would make their debut for the side in this match with Voges as captain. We had a good chance of winning this first match. Voges lost the toss and they chose to bat first. Sidebottom started warming up to take the new ball and did so once we were out on the field.

We got off to a good start, only conceding 30 runs in the first 10 over's, Sidebottom and Adams bowling 5 each. We took the powerplay straight away and brought Lawson on. It was a maiden first up from him which was good. Broad finally struck in his second over, Boyce caught behind for 15 off 54 balls. New brought up his fifty with a thick edge which went for 4. Swann was given the ball in the 21st over and struck straight away with the wicket of New for 52. Dippenaar was put down by Adams at short leg on 26 off the bowling of Swann. Lawson ran Dippenaar out for 41. Cobb went for 22, Swann striking again and it was 135/4 after 32.5 over's. Ackerman only made 7, Swann taking his third wicket. Swann bowled out his 10 over's to finish with figures of 3/44 and probably deserved better having many chances, including 1 dropped catches and 4 LBW appeals. Patel got his deserved wicket in his 9th over and Leicestershire were 169/6 with 10.5 overs left. Andre Adams was brought back on into the attack after an economical first spell. Patel took his second wicket, Henderson edging to Voges at slip for 7. Patel finished with 2/47 from his ten overs and bowled really well. Adams took his first wicket. Lawson was brought on for his 6th over and struck first ball, bowling Andrew Harris out. Adams took the last wicket to finish with figures of 9.4 over's, 2 maidens, 2/33 and have Leicestershire bowled out for 212.

Nottinghamshire vs Leicestershire 2nd Innings

Squads_NOT_v_LEI.jpg

Jefferson and Wood made their way to the crease, needing 213 at 4.2 runs an over to win. Iain O'Brien was the opening bowler. I told the batsman to just play off O'Brien as he would attack from the start. We got off to a slow start and lost the wicket of Wood for 9 off 28 off the bowling of Harris. That brought Patel to the crease. Patel was bowled by Henderson for 9 and it was 45/2. Voges and Jefferson were not out in the middle. At least we had played off O'Brien who had bowled 8 overs, 0/28. Jefferson hit his second six of the game, with a nice cover drive off Henderson. He now moved into the thirties, with 1 four and 2 sixes. The RRR had now risen to 5 an over. Jefferson was caught out on the boundary for 37 off the bowling of Allenby and we were in trouble. Wagh got off to a good start hitting 2 fours in his first 2 balls. The captain was dismissed for 20 and we were playing shocking. Wagh and Klokker batted well though reducing the Required Run Rate to 4 an over for the last 13 over's. Wagh had just brought up his fifty off 42 balls and Klokker was on 22*. We were now on track to win, only needing 15 runs off 7 over's with Wagh and Klokker well settled. Klokker brought up his fifty and Wagh finished it off with a four and a single to pull off a good victory. Wagh finished 74* off 64 balls while Klokker finished 50* off 58 balls. Wagh's good unbeaten knock earned him man of the match. We were in a bit of trouble at 4/107 but the 100 run partnership between Wagh and Klokker won us the game. I was happy with their performance although I wasn't too happy about the top order batting. A win to start my managing career is a good feeling. So in the end, we won by 6 wickets with 5.3 over's to spare.

Can you please post imgaes that are exact for Forums about 640*480...

This are quite huge

Good start to this hedger

Klokker seems a good signing

How good is Voges on 2009? because on my Australia save on 2008 he is awesome in ODI's

He's only got a rating of 900 or so but I put it up since he is a lot better than that. He is now the second best batsman (I think) on the team before Samit Patel. It is now around 1300.

Nottinghamshire vs Worcestershire 1st Day

Squads_Notts_v_Worc.jpg

It was our first FC match of the season and it would have been great to get the same result as our first OD match. Only 1 change was made to the side, Hales brought in for Wood after his poor performance in the first match. Voges won the toss this time and we had a bat. It was a flat pitch so I would have been happy with 400+ in our first innings. Jefferson and Hales made their way to the crease to have a bat.

The opening batsman survived 13 over's before Jefferson was trapped in front by Arif for 16 and it was 34/1 which brought Patel to the crease to bat with Hales. Hales was put down by the bowler, Jones on 22. The 100 was brought up in the 31st over but Patel went next over, edging to second slip off Arif for 36 off 57 balls. Hales was not out on 45 with Voges making his way to the crease. Hales fell in the same over for 45 and it was 104/3. It went from bad to worse as Wagh fell for 1 and what was looking like going into lunch 1 down has turned into 4 wickets down for 114 at lunch with Voges and Klokker at the crease.

Voges and Klokker both made their way past 20 in the second session and we had now passed 150. Voges brought up his fifty in 79 balls with Klokker on 42* and we had just passed 200. Jones took the wicket of Voges for 52 which was a big breakthrough for Worcestershire and brought Graeme Swann to the crease. Klokker brought up his half century with a boundary and we still had a chance of making 350+. We were 228/5 at tea, Klokker on 63* and Swann on 3* with Arif and Jones sharing the 5 wickets between them.

Klokker hit the first six of the day with a lovely stroke through forward square leg. Klokker moved into the 90's and we were also getting closer to 300. Klokker was now on 99* but not on strike. Swann got a single to get Klokker back on strike and on the last ball of the over, Klokker hit a single to bring up his century. We had now gotten within half an hour of stumps and Swann and Klokker both settled. Swann edged behind though for 30 and Moore took an important wicket into his second over which brought Andre Adams to the crease. We passed 300 and were hoping to add a few more runs before the innings ended. We finished the day 316/6, Klokker on 113* and Adams on 9*. We would like to push on tomorrow and then bowl well and go for a win.

Yeah. Samit Patel. Has played a few ODI's. Has a very good FC batting record as you can see. He averages 49.

Nottinghamshire vs Worcestershire 2nd Day

Squads_Notts_v_Worc.jpg

I wanted a few more runs before we bowled and Klokker would have to restart for the new day. Adams had scored a few runs last night and hopefully he could score a few more.

We added 18 more runs in the first 5 over's of the day and Adam going towards 20 now. Andre Adams hit a great six, cutting Ali over cover going all the way, taking Adams to 26. Adams was finally dismissed for 32, bowled by Ali. Broad made 14 before being trapped in front by Simon Jones. Klokker was now on 135 and it was 379/8. We needed 7 runs off 2 over's to get the last batting point and we hit 6 runs off the first of them over's, meaning 1 run needed off 1 over. Sidebottom was on strike on 10* off 9 balls. It was a maiden though and we had to settle with 4 batting points. We brought up the 400 first ball of the next over though and Klokker was getting closer to 150. He moved on to 149 and was on strike to Gareth Batty who came on to bowl his fifth over of the match. He brought the 150 up with a single to deep cover and he raised his bat to the small crowd that had gathered. Sidebottom was dismissed for 21 leaving only 1 wicket in hand with Jermaine Lawson and Frederik Klokker at the crease. Lawson had 2 near misses in his first over he faced. He got out the next over, caught by Solanki at first slip off Ali for a duck. Klokker finished on 154* while we finished 425 all out. That was also lunch on Day 2.

Scorecard_NOT_v_WOR_1st_Inn.jpg

Sidebottom opened the bowling to Moore and Davies. It was a maiden first up, Moore just blocking out the over. Adams bowled from the other end. There was no luck in the first 11 over's so Stuart Broad was brought on. Sidebottom struck with the wicket of Davies, caught by Patel at first slip. They were 84/1 at tea, going along nicely. We needed a wicket early in the final session.

We got that wicket in the first over after lunch, Swann brought on and Solanki edging to Patel at slip for 31 with Moore on 39*. Sidebottom was brought back on a few overs after tea and took a wicket in his second over back on, getting Mitchell trapped in front for 1 and they were 104/3. Patel was brought on 48 over's into the innings and took the big wicket of Moore, 4.1 over's into his spell, Moore out for 60. Voges had a bowl after the wicket over. Patel and Voges bowled out the rest of the day and they finished the day, 150/4. I would like to bowl them out for under 250 and maybe enforce the follow on to have another bowl at them.
