Story A Season In The Life Of.....................Me...!![C2005]

Well considering I have won most games batting first in the CC, I think i have full faith in the batsmen to post a good total and maybe bat them out of the game before they even get a look in! Might struggle for an update tomorrow as I have A Level results so keep watching for updates.

i was actually on about a drop down in a OD game, maybe as a tester. looking forward to the game against leicestershire. thought you might have bowled in the conditions

I agree as this will give Briggs a change and who knows that he may turn out a great match winner. You need to try various options if things are not working as expected. Hope we find an update soon and good luck with the story

Briggs is not batting well in one days, he needs to either be sent at top order or lower order in batting

lets go briggsy expecten a big score in a one dayer soon great story kep it up

Yorkshire In Command After Briggs Century
At Headingly

The words that are becoming familiar this season 'Briggs century' were yet again on the lips of every person as Shaun Briggs put Yorkshire in command with a fine 102 to give Yorkshire a dream start to the match against Leicestershire. Yorkshire reached 447 when the 7th wicket fell to which Craig White told the umpire his side would be declaring leaving Leicestershire with an up hill task to get something out of the game.

From Briggs View
Shaun Briggs was yet again the man of the moment as he scored his 4th century of the season in what is turning out to be quite a season so far for the youngster. His 102 included some fine boundaries, the pick of which brought up his century, a huge six from DeFreitas which went straight down the ground and led to juibilant scenes from Briggs. However he was eventually out for LBW playing across the line, something he struggled with early in the season and will be hoping doesnt happen too many times again.

Once again palying across the line proves to be fatal, he shouldnt be doing that when hes well set and past 100!

Especially to a part timer like Darren Maddy!

well it's not a test match but i know what you mean.... its important that briggs does get a score in a OD match, but i believe the longer form of the game is much more important and shows a player's true class.

Leicestershire Crumble As Yorkshire Take Command
At Headingly

Leicestershire are in deep trouble at Headingly after being bowled out by Yorkshire for only 185 in their first innings, leaving them 262 runs adrift of their opponents. With the follow on likely to be enforced and still over a day and a half to play, Yorkshire will be looking to wrap up victory in this game. HD Ackerman top scored for Leicestershire with 52 and it was only his 82 run partnership with Paul Nixon that spared the blushes. Deon Kruis picked up 4 wickets for Yorkshire to put them in control.

From Briggs View
Shaun Briggs bowled well in the innings and his consistent line and lengths brought him 2 wickets, including the big wicket of dangerman HD Ackerman. Briggs did cause problems early on in his first spell, but his second spell brought more runs for the batsmen as he proved to be quite expensive but it was in the second spell where he took both his wickets and the one which wrapped up the first innings when Willoughby was caught at second slip.

Shaun Briggs 12.5-3-40-2

10th Over: WICKET! Ackerman is caught plum infront as Briggs makes a vital breakthrough for Yorkshire
11th Over: Single taken from the over
12th Over: A big LBW claim from Briggs against DeFreitas is turned down as it looked as if he got outside the line
13th Over: WICKET! Briggs wraps up the Leicestershire innings as Willoughby is caught at 2nd slip

Good bowling again by Briggesy, hes turning into a bright spark with the ball, he just needs to get hsi head won and work on his OD technique!
