Leicestershire Crumble As Yorkshire Take Command
At Headingly
Leicestershire are in deep trouble at Headingly after being bowled out by Yorkshire for only 185 in their first innings, leaving them 262 runs adrift of their opponents. With the follow on likely to be enforced and still over a day and a half to play, Yorkshire will be looking to wrap up victory in this game. HD Ackerman top scored for Leicestershire with 52 and it was only his 82 run partnership with Paul Nixon that spared the blushes. Deon Kruis picked up 4 wickets for Yorkshire to put them in control.
From Briggs View
Shaun Briggs bowled well in the innings and his consistent line and lengths brought him 2 wickets, including the big wicket of dangerman HD Ackerman. Briggs did cause problems early on in his first spell, but his second spell brought more runs for the batsmen as he proved to be quite expensive but it was in the second spell where he took both his wickets and the one which wrapped up the first innings when Willoughby was caught at second slip.
