Cracking thread, keep it up.
Mistake duly noted, thanks for the support, I havent been able to update as much as I would have liked in part because I have just got ICC2005, but I will try keep it up.

Very good, I havent lost a game yet, Started a new game with Yorkshire, scored 500+ in the first innings i played, Vaughan scored 197 and Wood got 166 so was delighted with that. Then had a go at an Ashes series and again scored 500+ and beat them in the first test by 7 wickets so again delighted!

Yorkshire Complete Stunning Victory After More McGrath Heroics
At Headingly

A very rare 5 for from Anthony McGrath gave Yorkshire victory by the huge margin of 288 runs with only 4 overs left to play in this amazing County Championship game. At one stage it looked as if Derbyshire were going to hang on for the draw as they came out looking like they wanted to block out every ball that came down the track, but the swing bowlers did the job for Yorkshire as McGrath and Harvey both picked up valuable wickets. Derbyshire captain Luke Sutton did his best at the end to try and hang about, but it was his wicket which fell to give Yorkshire the victory and to move them closer to promotion.

From Briggs View
Briggs bowled very little in the second innings mainly due to the success the swing bowlers were having but even so during his short spells he did cause some trouble for the very defensive batsmen and also seemed to have a bit of trouble with the front line and he constantly kept over stepping in his second spell. Despite being wicketless in the second innings, Briggs will have learned from this innings that not everything goes your way all the time and you have to work away some of the time to get your wickets.

This play and miss from Stubbings was the closest Briggs got to taking a wicket in the second innings

Stats For Shaun Briggs After Game Ten
statsafter109bz.jpg

Briggs should again be pleased with his performance in this match. Despite not picking up as many wickets as he would have liked, he still batted brilliantly again and scored his 5th century of the season to go along with his 3 half centuries. With not many games left in the longer version of the game, Briggs will be looking now to bolster his performances in the shorter version of the game with some scores and wickets.

Just liek a Derbyshire match! Throw it away towards the end, well done!! Reps for realism!

Yorkshire vs Kent
Headingly

Yorkshire welcome fellow promotion hopefulls Kent to Headingly today knowing that a win for either side would boost their credidentials a whole lot. Kent welcome back Geraint Jones to their squad who has been allowed from the England squad during the break between games to play, but Yorkshire choose to rest Vaughan and Hoggard who's workload during the recent games for England has been overwhelming. The captains checked the conditions before play was due to begin.

So a hard pitch has been served up by the Yorkshire groundsman but with overcast conditions, batting could become difficult. The toss was soon taken.

So Kent won the toss and have chosen to bat first on a pitch which could offer a lot for both batters and fielders. Craig White did not seem too dissapointed to have lost the toss and said he would have bowled if he won the toss anyway. The teams were soon announced and play was all but ready to get underway.

Kent Struggle As Yorkshire Bowlers Take Control
At Headingly

Despite the batter friendly conditions, it was the Yorkshire bowlers who managed to get a grasp on the Kent batsmen at Headingly as they restricted them to a low total of only 179 for 4 from there 45 overs. Despite the low amount of wickets taken, the restriction was evedant as hardly any of the Yorkshire bowlers went at over 5 an over. Rob Key played a fine innings for Kent which took him past 50 and Ian Harvey was the only wicket taker for Yorkshire as he took 2 of the 4 to fall.

From Briggs View
It was an innings of frustration for Shaun Briggs as he managed to create chances but his fielders could not capitalise on the chances made by their bowler. Briggs, like the rest of the bowlers was very economical, but again like most of the Yorkshire bowlers, finished wicketless, but it was a very strong team effort from Yorkshire to restrict Kent to a low score and to give them a great chance of winning the game.

Shaun Briggs 9-0-36-0
1st Over: In an over which saw Rob Key play and miss, 3 runs are picked up
2nd Over: Rob Key again plays risky against Briggs, this time mistiming one which falls short of Jaques
3rd Over: Briggs struggles with his lines as he bowls 3 wides in the over
4th Over: 4 singles picked up from the over
5th Over: Only a single taken from the over
6th Over: 2 runs picked up from the over as Briggs keeps it tight
7th Over: Fulton smashes Briggs away for 4
8th Over: Briggs bowls a no ball
9th Over: An eventful final over from Briggs see's Fulton dropped by Kruis in the covers, then a no ball is bowled next up and to add insult to injury, Fulton smashes the extra ball away for 4

Briggs comes in to the attack with Kent in a good position

But it was to be 9 overs of frustration for the all rounder

Unlucky not to take a wicket, redeem youself with the bat, not a mega high total but u will need to bat carefully.
