Why did the umpire end the game all of a sudden without hearing the siren. Surely the only way he can end it is hear the siren and signal the end. If this is how it works the game should be still going on.

The freo players were celebrating because they heard the siren. Most of them went up simultaniously, Connoly AND Thomas both stood up. Surely this means that it went?

Fremantle have more of a working class(blue collar) supporter base.
West coast are white collar rich snobs supporter base

Well if no umpires heard the siren they have to keep playing all day.
Game should have continued after the baker point for the rest of the day.

haha thaey could still be playing all night then, tasmania may not have an electrical store with sirens and may have had to go to the mainland to get one.

The Docker's definitely deserve the win. Even Thomas admitted they outplayed STK for 3 and 3/4 quaters of footy. I suppose that's the way AFL goes though, they rake in millions of dollars then can't afford a working siren or hearing aids for the umpires.

There was around 2 seconds left on the clock on the ball up but the umpire lets the play go on

Great stuff from the York Park team, makes me proud to be Tasmanian (surely they could've given me a ring, it's a 5 minute drive from where I am, I could've rustled up a few people to beep their horns, but oh well)

The funniest thing is, while Fremantle should've won, after the siren there was another blooper they made that should've given St. Kilda the goal. The umpires said that the way they handed Baker the ball back wasn't good enough, which meant it should've been 50, but they never stepped it out and gave the Saints the certain goal.

So, technically, Fremantle should've won it, but because of poor umpiring (timeskeeping), and then Saints should've won it, but, because of another poor umpiring decision, it was a draw.

btw Sman the umpires didn't seem to hear the siren initially but when Chris Connolly came storming on to the ground along with media etc, they had a bit of an idea.

Sman-21: Eagles fans are not snobs. They are nowhere near as bad as dockers fans. Docker supporters just can't take the fact that the Eagles are a far better team then them.

Sampi is way more talented then Medhurst. Medhurst is useless.

Do you know why the media is more negative towards the dockers then the Eagles. It's because the Eagles are a far better team and play an exciting, hard-running style of football where the Dockers are unpredictable and play a crap style of football most of the time.

The Eagles have earn't the respect of the media and the Dockers haven't.
So the media isn't being biased to the eagles, it's simply just that the Eagles are a far better team then the dockers and have earnt the respect of the media.

The Dockers are almost unbeatable if they run out of the backline and get the ball to their marking forwards quickly. They lost to Adelaide because the Crows forced them to go wide and chip the ball around. If they are agressive and quick they are a great side to watch.

And eagles fans are completely blind to the fact because they are brainwashed by the media.
For an honest answer on perth media ask any victorian media person.
Also look at the eagles financial sponsors and who writes the articles etc.

One day later and im still fuming over this bs.

To make things worse we have the derby this week and how can our players get over this crap and get their minds back on the job of smashing west coast like we did in the nob cup.
If im still fuming theres no way they can get over it so quick.



That result can not and should not stand but ofcourse it will because as said before all the betting agencies have paid out on the draw(no way they wanted freo to win $$$) and the betting agencies wont allow the afl to change it.
