AFL 2006

The Dockers are almost unbeatable if they run out of the backline and get the ball to their marking forwards quickly. They lost to Adelaide because the Crows forced them to go wide and chip the ball around. If they are agressive and quick they are a great side to watch.
They lost to crows because the crows are the best team in the competition :happy

To make things worse we have the derby this week and how can our players get over this crap and get their minds back on the job of smashing west coast
Your players are mentally fragile enough to let this impact on the next game? If anything you should be coming out breathing fire, of course it won't be enough to beat a better team over four quarters but you've got a point to prove.

And eagles fans are completely blind to the fact because they are brainwashed by the media.
For an honest answer on perth media ask any victorian media person.
Also look at the eagles financial sponsors and who writes the articles etc.
Allow me to summarise: Performing well consistently + playing a decent brand of football = Media respect and decent articles. Playing like a rabble = media criticism.

That result can not and should not stand but ofcourse it will because as said before all the betting agencies have paid out on the draw(no way they wanted freo to win $$$) and the betting agencies wont allow the afl to change it.
Or perhaps because the umpires decision is, and always has been, final. Should we award Collingwood the 1980 night premiership since Kerry Good's mark and goal were after the siren? You were robbed, nobody's disputing that, but the game is over when the umpire blows the whistle and not before. Accept the crap decision and the 2 points and move forward to next week- or perhaps start analysing why you gave up a 30+ point lead by trying to run the clock down for the entire last quarter.

lol! what a joke :D best team in the comp? lol. not yet anyway buddy

whats this? a moderator speaking some sense :p nice summary tho brad352. freo should use this game, almost for the rest of the season, as a lesson to never let up, even when theyve worked their asses off for the majority of the game. should make them a better team :boxing give them some killer instinct ;)

Exactly. They will come out steaming if CC has anything to do with it. He seemed to be the one who was most pissed off at the whole thing. The Eagles will be facing opponents who are using emotion to fire themselves up. Freo won't care as much about giving away the free as long as that player is tackled and knows about it. They will surely be trying to strike fear into West Coast and make them look around every time they pick up the ball.

but the porblem with that is that most of the time, it makes the aggresive team forget that they also need to score goals to win a match of footy, and so, moe often then not, it doesnt get a win.

yeah yeah play to the whistle /umpire says game over.
If it was 1 or 2 seconds later it is acceptable but this was 10 seconds later after players were celebrating and screaming at the umpires to let them know.

One of the umpires obviously heard the siren because they were talking and stopped the game after the point to baker.
So since one of them heard it the game ended where the bounce occured.

Otherwise how can they decide to stop the game at that point, play should have continued and fremantle kicked in.

We all know Fremantle are still young and fragile and with the pansy connoly as coach he couldnt fire up a 30yr old virgin with a shot at Angelina Jolie.

But none of the Field umpires heard the siren.

Your right about Connolly though, he's soft and a pansy.

Hayden Kennedy ran over to Nicholls and told him he heard the siren (it is claimed) That's what caused the Dockers to celebrate. Why Nicholls bounced the ball is a still a mystery

You can't argue with that fact, can't figure out how many goals were gonna beat Port by i'm tosing up with either 10 or 15. :p

Fremantle for sure, if the bell went and the umpires play on then they should just check with the umpire upstairs.

But they are deciding today about what should happen. If St Kilda get the points I'm gonig to be disgusted.

Though i will be very happy indeed!Go the Sainters.Good to see Lenny get off.Already for this week, hopefully we can self inject some enthusiasm into our game!

incorrect!!

Geelong are the best team in the competition :D

on the basis that we are strong all around the field, although Adelaide is very strong also u have a very old midfield...and that isnt a good thing.

and i know what ppl will say, "if youre so good how come you're 2-3 after 5 rounds?!"....my answer - its a marathon, not a sprint.
