Another draft!-Test players of the 90s and later - FINISHED!

^Ah very nice - he kind of fell into your lap didn't he? :p Lucky I already had 2 spinners...

I'm picking last in this round. :( Be kind to me guys, be kind please.....:p

2 words: Wicket Keeper :yes Unless you had someone else specifically in mind to be your keeper. Yudi's the only other guy without a keeper as I see it, and if needed he could always play Sanga as a keeper.

I'm guessing next 2 picks will be bowlers? I can't see any good Indian batsmen left.

I'm not sure whether Yudi really needs a keeper or not because he already has Sanga but if he picks up Dhoni then I'd need to select a good bowler.

Sanga averages about 40 as a batsman when he keeps. All other runs he has scored won't be considered

Zaheer Khan

A very well 'grown' bowler. Came into the scene with raw talent and ever since he has been learning and growing as a bowler. He has developed himself into a complete bowler, if you could say that. Swings the new ball, very handy with the old ball too. Gets it to reverse. Very cunning when it comes to sub continent tracks and lethal on foreign conditions with some help. Has enough pace to trouble the batsmen. Not as skillful as Wasim Akram but, surely a modern day Akram. Mentally strong, has the mind to out-think the batsmen.

India's best pace bowler currently and has been from some time now. They say, India's fast bowling presently is all about one man, Zaheer Khan. A real asset to the team. Can bat a bit too but I'd hope with the batting strength of the team, he doesn't have to.

My bad, Yudi has already made his pick in the Indian draft. :p

I'm liking my team now. I'll get a gun number 4 in SL round. Then, I need two bowlers in SA and AUS rounds. I hopefully will get a good one in SA round as I pick early. For AUS round, I'll see how it goes. Can really get another spinner too if available as I've two ARs in Kallis and Bravo. Actually, I'd have taken Kumble if Aoun hadn't picked him. Never ever was willing to pick Harbhajan though.

I feel Test match is a game of specialists unless you have Kallis in your team so I will try to find some good batsmen and my be another bowler.

Can cricket_icon start SA round? Yudi can make his England pick whenever he's on. I'm excited a wee bit. :D

My India pick...this is tough, with all the best batsmen gone and ZK taken I knew I needed a solid bowler and with resources very very low, I could only pick from either H Singh or Sharma and since I already have a world class spinner, I'm going to go for Sharma:

Ishant Sharma:

The best pace bowler India has had since ZK, which doesn't mean he is truly world class, but often in helpful conditions he can get the job done. There have been a couple of exceptional series' in which he has dazzled and shown a glimpse of what he can be, most recently against an admittedly weak but game West Indies side.

Wickets 121

BBI 6/55
BBM 10/108

Personal hatred, or just don't rate him? Harbhajan is kind of the anti-Zaheer. For quite a while Zaheer was very average and now has come good, Harbhajan is the opposite.

No personal hatred. Just don't rate him. I know Zaheer wasn't that good when he started but he has improved. That's what Cricket is all about. I mean when you get to the international stage, you keep on developing yourself until a certain age at least. Zaheer has done that.

On the other hand, Harbhajan did start well. I actually like him but not his temperament. He has taken a U-turn it seems. Keeps bowling darts when the need is to flight the ball and outwit the batsmen. Recently, I've actually never seen him flight as many deliveries as I'd have liked to. And, as I said, he's really pathetic when it comes to attitude. I know these factors don't/might not count here but, surely don't want him.

Venkatesh Prasad for me was a little better option then Sharma.

Yes, I'd have taken Prasad over Sharma as well. Maybe he missed his name?
