Harsha Bhogle:
Welcome everyone to another day of live cricket. Today, we are continuing the Ranji League match between arjwiz (Delhi Diamond Cutters) and @honu999 (Jharkhand Heroes).
Arjwiz is trying to come back from a midweek loss to @RIZZYX when Mumbai Indians lost to Kolkatta Knight Riders. But he has to get back into test match mode now.
And how best to move into test match mode than by getting rid of Laxman Sivaramakrishnan and Danny Morrison, and bringing back Geoffrey Boycott and Ravi Shastri. Hello guys.
Boycott: Morning, Harsha. It seems that the Ranji League is now going to benefit from a fantastic spreadsheet that tallies every team and player's scores.
Harsha: Yes, any IIM graduate like myself could make such a spreadsheet.
Shastri: Folks, let's get back to today's game. Jharkhand Heroes are 44/5 in their last innings and are chasing a score of 215. 171 more needed with 5 wickets in hand, including Raina, Ross Taylor, and AB DeVilliers. This is still very achievable. It shows what a tight game this has been so far, both results still possible.
----------
Geoffrey: These batsmen are taking their time getting to the middle. Do we have rules against this, Harsha?
Harsha: No, Geoffrey. I'm sure they will be out any minute now.
----------
And here we go!
----------
And that's a good start by JH. 6 runs off that Philander over. JH 51/5 after 11.
----------
Saeed Ajmal into the attack now. 6 off the over. A tough catch dropped at mid on, AB the batsman. JH 57/5 after 12.
----------
Another good over for JH. Philander looks exhausted after bowling his 7th over on the trot. 11 off that over. JH 68/5
----------
Saeed Ajmal with two scorchers, the second of which has AB DeVilliers clean bowled. JH 66/6 now.
----------
Ross Taylor in to bat.
----------
4 runs and a wicket off the over. JH 70/4 after 14 overs. Mohit Sharma into the attack.
----------
Attacking intent shown by JH. 10 off the Mohit Sharma over. 80/6 after 15. Ajmal continuing.
----------
Another smashing over from JH. 12 clean runs off it. JH 92/6 after 16 overs.
Amarnath back into the attack.
----------
Boycott: First ball is a quicker one that misses Taylor's off stump by a fraction. The second one moved in slightly and takes a faint nick to the keeper. Taylor is out caught behind!
Shastri: I hate Jimmy
Boycott: Unadkat in to bat.
Shastri: What do we have here? A suicidal run out with the ball going straight to short mid off. And that's the wicket of the dangerous Suresh Raina, who had scored 30 runs.
Boycott: LBW shout turned down now. Great over for DDC. JH are now 93/8 after 17 overs.
----------
Chawla in to the attack. Awana going for the big hits now. 4 off his first ball, but caught in the deep off his second. Just one wicket left for DDC to get now.
----------
Shastri: Munafbhaaiiii in to bat!
----------
And that's another nick to the keeper. Chawla gets the wicket of Unadkat. That's the end of the match. Great match and a good victory for Delhi Diamond Cutters.
Man of the Match is Vernon Philander with 10 wickets in the match.
