England made the perfect start to there final toru match with a opening, unbeaten start of 76. It appears the tempo of this innings is alot different with both batsmen playing cautiously and safely. Thsi therefore suggest they are looking for a big total between them and building an ideal platform for the opengin ashes test which starts on the 21st.

D.Gower- If they Trescothick and Strauss continue as they are now it could soon put Queensland otu the game, and to be honest it already feels that way.

England Lead by 76 runs

England progress from a strong position to another level with them adding 108 rusn for the loss of just 1 wicket. Trescothick remains un beaten on 78 and cook 20. However it could have been even better if Strauss wasn't given out after a poor LBW decison that replays appear to show missing the stumps and to high. With oe session left in the day England will hoep to build further on their total.

D.Gower- Another good session fro England. Strauss wil feel extremely hard doen by since his controversial wicket however it woudl seem that queensland needed soem luck.

Another big session for England althoguh they managed to loose two wickets of Cook and the dangerous Pietersen. Cook was the first to go hwne he was judged, rightly so LBW fo Love. However Cook had played well and added 50 with Trescothick. Pietersen came out and played in his familar fashion smashign the ball to all parts however after hittign 2 consecutive boundaries he perished goin for the third which he skied to cover. Trescothick goes in at the end of the day with a century under hsi belt and the possibilty of a huge score.

D.Gower- England have assembled a terrifc lead and certainyl hold the upper hand. However if queenslands can pick up some quick wickets they could be straight back in it.

M.Trescothick- The pitch is fantastic and the ball coems on well but the outfield is noticably slow. Probably add an extra 50 rusn if the otu filed was quicker, btu im not complaining i got soem big runs and im lookign forward to build upon it in the morning.

England Lead by 302 runs

Another great session but England hav egot to make sure they pick up the runrate. Only 76 runs were score in this session which suggest Queensalnd were bowlign tighter than previously. It woudl make sense for England to delcare just after or before tea today. Trescothick has reached another massive landmark of 150 and the bell partnership is nearing 100, queensland have got alot of work to do now.

D.Gower- England no have a proliffic socre at their reach and i see a declaration comign within the day. Trescothick has played quiet beautifully but the same can be said for Bell who has also impressed with a steady unnervey innings.

England managed to delacre after a fien innings from M.Trescothick. The Somerset batsmne finally departed for 236 but by then had alreayd seen England up to 508, Bell managed to score 68 boostign his selection hopes. For queensland it has been a long match so far with them onyl pickign up 6 wickets. The off spinner M.Love took 3 wickets although he conceded 103 runs in doing so. Queensland now have a difficutl session just be for tea to negotiate.

Maher and Hayden got the queensland innings of to a great start with them adding 74 for the first wicket. Maher has been more influential smashing frequent boundaries. Hayden finally departed to Hoggard who continuously troubled him with the in swing. Finally he fell when he chopped it on from a cramped lenght. However Maher has looked unsettled adding 68 not out. However theres still plenty of time for something to happen.

D.Gower- Terrific start by queensland by chasing a formidable total. Hayden and Maher got of to a good start but the wicket of hayden has help undeinably.

D.Loyde 3rd Man- The pick of the bowlers was definetly Hoggard with 1 for 17. His hawkeye against Hayden shows how he got his wickets. By bowling a consistant line he drained the runs and Hayden had only the poor balls to score off. And then he threw in the occasional bouncer and then the wicket ball, which pitched in line with the boundary ball but a bit closer eventually cramped him for room .

This story is phaenomenal (spelling?!?) anyway, I hope England can bowl Queensland out with ease, Hayden is a huge wickets, Hoggy doing the business again. C'mon The Poms! :D

yeah i agree. the story itself is great but the spelling is a huge turn off. maybe just take an extra minute to read over the story to make sure the spelling is all correct. it is the only thing that is letting this very good story down at the moment.

congratulations on 100 posts aswell.

Thanks for the replies, i will definetly improve the spellings and liek you said read it again before posting to make sure.

Nice story tjg1989! But it is not life like. England is playing well :p.

:cheers

England took 3 wickets, one of them the opener Maher who score a beautiful 101. Panesar Starred with the ball picking up two wickets. He managed to remove love who was out played and misjudge a sweep and was judged LBW. Panesar then clean bowled his second straight out the rough. There was a wicket of Harmison with a fantastic yorker that swung miles. (Lets hope theres no Ball tampering issue here :) ) England still have a massive lead however they have brougth Andrew Symonds to the crease who already has demonstarted his great form, his wicket is paramount.

D.Gower- Another good session for England. Panesar again has shown his wealth has a spinner and i see more wickets in this match for him already.

Cricket20052006-08-1915-02-07-73.jpg

D.Loyde 3rd Man- Harmsion didnt have the best session and his hawkeye demonstrates his wayward bowling at times. However he did force the batsmen to leave consistantly when bowlign short of a length. Then he fired up a Yorker and caugth Maher by suprised and bag himself a wicket.
