Ashes 2015 - Australia tour of England July/September 2015

To add to my no ball rant from earlier, I reckon 15% of Johnson's deliveries have been no balls. It's becoming a joke.

Yeah he is over the line so often. I don't understand why they don't stick a camera adjacent to the line, and just let the 4th umpire watch in the real time and call it. Give one less thing (if they even do it) for the on field umpire to worry about.

As someone on here said recently, its very hard for a bowler to correct an issue if you don't know there is one until a wicket ball gets reviewed.

England collapse - this feels more like a normal test summer!

Shocking from Lyth and Bairstow. There is a time to play attacking cricket, this isn't it.

England taking a shallacking here. Case of taking our eye off the ball because we've won the Ashes? Perhaps.

Lyths time is done, can't do it on a flat pitch, can't do it on a seaming pitch, I have no hope he can do it on a spinning pitch in the UAE.

Sorry to post again, but for a team that has just won the ashes, there are a helluva lot of people who are under pressure!

Cook isn't making many runs but should be OK. But Lyth, Bell, Butler (even Bairstow to a certain extent, seeing as he's new to the team) could all be dropped based on form with the bat.

What's with the shot selection? We look like we are down the park after a couple of beers swinging merrily. Ludicrous batting on a superb pitch, we'll be lucky to get to 100.

I think its obvious that England don't care for the 5th test. They have clearly won the war and the battle doesn't mean much. It could still end up costing Lyth his place in the side, but thats about all that is at stake. England clearly want to get the celebrations started. The sooner the game ends the better. Clarke gets to retire on a high, England get their celebration going soon, and this dead rubber ends.

England have been exteremly dominant regardless of what the scoreline says right now. Aus couldn't even compete on the same level.

it was a good ball for sure, but l repeat look at the bat angle. it wasn't unplayable, it was played poorly.

on a separate note, we are deep in the doo doo! 92/7!!

I thought it was a ripper of a ball from Siddle, and Bell maybe could have done better, but its not shit from him. Nowehere near as bad as some of his dismissals.

Yeah we are properly fudged!

well, i'm being harsh on bell (as ever) - he, cook and root probably got the best balls of the innings and definitely were got out rather than threw their wicket away.

i'm more calling the commentators - they talked up a good ball (even a very good ball) as a near ball of the century, and there was no analysis of the way the ball was played. the angle of the bat coming down and the twist of the body exaggerated the movement. the level of Sky analysis and commentary this summer has been terrible.

That is absolute bollocks. It's demeaning to suggest that.

Some awful shots from England. Wood should be coming in ahead of Broad. He is no longer a player who can bat under pressure.

That was kind of my point mate!

I haven't enjoyed the commentating, apart from Nasser really. I guess Bumble as well because at least he makes me laugh on occasion!

I don't understand why these guys keep throwing their wickets away. Didn't they do the same at Lords? A bit of pressure and they can't manage to dig in. I'm a bit worried about both the upcoming tours.

No Ashes test is a dead rubber mate. Ever.

Two bad teams

this is probably closer to the mark, and explains why the margins in each game have been so enormous. neither side has the ability/character to fight back when they get behind int he game, and have crumbled. As @richowebbo mentioned earlier, it's crazy to think we've won the Ashes and yet several players might be sweating over their place.[DOUBLEPOST=1440177541][/DOUBLEPOST]how can the bowlers be so far over on the no-ball? absolutely ridiculous.[DOUBLEPOST=1440177651][/DOUBLEPOST]

funny, Nasser has gone massively down in my estimation this summer - he's basically been the propaganda wing of the the ECB.

@IceAgeComing I'm not sure its two bad team, but two teams with bad players in them.

I think Nasser talk a lot of sense. I haven't paid much attention though to be honest.
