There is no chance of this happening. PC sales are a tiny fraction of the overall market.

Barmy's spoken with people about it, it's been ruled out 100%. They'll release it on consoles and pc once it passes submission in whatever state it's in good or bad.

If they cannot release a newly engineered game what they can probably do is release an upgrade patch for Ashes 09 atleast. Some gameplay, graphics tweaks atleast. Like an upgrade package for around 500 INR. That would atleast get them some money and regain some lost reputation instead of releasing a crap game.

EA did with Cricket09. Distribution costs money. Far less likely with an "official" game though as much of the marketing has already been paid for and they would presumably have to return a load of money to sponsors even if there weren't penalty clauses.
