Ashes Cricket General Discussion

What about his mentality? Is he aggressive? Try setting him as precise. I think the more attacking the mentality the more likely they use variation
I've got Tim May set to conservative and he bowls all the variations - or at least a majority of balls that turn away from the right hander. I'm actually beginning to think the game has the doosra and off break programmed back to front for AI bowlers.

I think this is the case: it was mentioned quite a lot in the beta process: would be a good experiment to make some of the Offies leggies and see If it makes a difference

Back up your save file to an external storage, delete the save file on the ps4 and then try. You can restore the file later.

This didn't make any difference for me - the game still got stuck on 'Retrieving information' when downloading any teams on a fresh profile. Haven't been able to download any teams for a week now, really want to get all the English county sides. Looks like some kind of issue at @BigAntStudios' end - a server issue maybe?

I've got Warne in the same Australia line up, he bowls the same level of variation. Different mentality, precise I think. They're of course both right handers, I don't know if anyone has played against left arm spinners and noticed if it's the same or not.

it's the same. it's been the same in every game, then they fixed it during patches and broke it in the next game.

that last sentence could be used to describe a large number of issues, unfortunately.

Are you sat 6 inches from your screen with ball trail and aerial marker on?

There is no setting to make the ball more visible apart from those mentioned above. In dbc17 you didn't need any silly graphical references to see the ball. You could see it fine without. Just like in every cricket game....apart from Ashes cricket.
Don't quote my comments on your silly posts... I can see the ball clearly, even when you boot the game for the 1st time, game asks to adjust graphics (gamma) so you can able to see the ball during matches... and I don't want to discussing about other games here...

Gamma has very little to do with it. It's about the colour and size of the ball, particularly the red one, being off. But I'm guessing you are sat 6 inches from your screen, while most console gamers are not.

And don't be rude.

So why wasn't it fixed? Are they even listening to you guys at all? Seen a few comments along these lines, beta participants seeming apathetic about the process...

From the sort of detailed feedback many of you guys gave during the beta process I was in for 14 and 17, I trust that you guys are holding up your end of the bargain. Shame that it seems Big Ant are not.

I'm actually in agreement that the ball could do with being a bit more saturated. Especially the pink one.

I think they are. I really do and as has been repeated ad nuaseum they are very very passionate about what they do. I think that two heads of water have come periously close together: releasing two fully licensed games so close to one another will have been and will be a resource draining exercise. Whatever we think of that is one thing but it does mean that everyone will be stretched. Add to that the summer holiday period and you have the perfect storm. We will need to be patient as far as waiting for a next round of fixes and patches is concerned.

I think I asked this before, but has anyone got a bowled in the latest build against anything other than that weird forward prod with an angled bat that the AI batsmen seem to love playing?
