I think I asked this before, but has anyone got a bowled in the latest build against anything other than that weird forward prod with an angled bat that the AI batsmen seem to love playing?

Had a few similar to this one plus some from yorkers. Also had a bottom edge drag on which was cool

EDIT: Oh and one where the batsman went back to defend middle when the ball had seamed away to hit top of off. Should have recorded that one it looked really nice.

I had one or two while AI was trying to defend, mostly yorkers. Remember couple while attempting aggressive shots. But majority are just bowled attempting the infamous prod/dig shot.

I'm sure this has been mentioned, possibly even by myself! I'm really enjoying so much about the game but a great step up from here would be that players throw with the correct arm.

I'm really grateful that Big Ant have created a game that is in my opinion much more polished than DBC17. There's definitely bugs but my experiences aren't too bad. Obviously we all tend to experience different ones on different versions/consoles.

Hope everybody's enjoying the game. I'm playing as England in custom leagues in each format and enjoying my career. I hope it's not a bug that I'm still trapped at club level after five years or so (Like DBC 17) but more likely my batting average of 32.00 is holding me back?

Again, sure it's been mentioned including by myself before but does anybody know the age of your career player? Please tell me if I'm missing something but I don't think that information is there is it? Did we start aged 16 and have twenty years or so or if I'm 31 in the Academy will I have started my career at that age?

The Prod Shot, The Mid off cut shot and the Pull shot on Pitched up deliveries.
Hate all the wickets that AI gives away as a result of these.

The prod shots that go for 4/6 annoy me more than the wickets tbh, just feels so much like the AI is cheating to get boundaries.

Although, having earlier in the thread said it was an AI only shot I did manage to play it myself the other day. Good length ball by the AI just outside off which I went to hit aerial over cover. Got all the footwork/timing perfect and it ended up playing the prod animation to send the ball 100m for 6

Yes, quite a few but only during 20 and 50 over games. Never in a test series.

I am able to play that prod shot consistently, RS at 7 O clock, no matter aggressive, aggressive grounded or precise shots.
At the moment, I will be happy if BA removes that shot completely.

On the career age question, you can only see your career player age when you are captain and picking your team .... however my player age remains 18 through multiple seasons and does not change , so it is basically not working or set that way on purpose...

Has anyone had experience of Nathan Lyon pitching the ball outside of the white ball pitch marker?

He's the only bowler I've seen it happen with (limited sample size) but it's killing me. I have pretty tough batting sliders with a high penalty for poor shot choice/direction/timing. So when the ball marker suggests the delivery is pitching outside off, then it lands on middle, that's pretty tough. And if I wait to see if the delivery pitches on the ball marker or not, I'll probably have late timing and be bowled anyway.

Last test he took 12 wickets and got man of the match. He already has 2 wickets in the 1st innings of the 2nd test. Is it a drift thing? Or something else? Anyone else experienced this?

I'll try and get a video next time I'm on.

An observation here. I think, for someone who finds batting far too easy as we stand, that if we turn up the difficulty all the way and AI is more responsive with its field settings, that this has the potential to be remedied without a big overhaul. But I know AI's ability to set proper fields has been an issue for a lot of folks here, so here's hoping that if there is a next patch, that it works towards resolving that issue.

With pitch marker and Yes it happens to me all the time even for the fast bowlers sometimes. Its one of the gameplay modifier which make it happen but not sure which one is it.

Are people still getting no edges when batting? Like 60% of my wickets are from edges and thats excluding the ones that don't find a fielder. Test matches are of pressure batting, literally have to leave anything outside off because I'm afraid I'll nick it. Sometimes the AI has a real aggressive field tempting me and then I go for a drive and edge it then kick myself later, that just happened to me twice, one of them was with a set batsmen who had 69(93) and had nicked a ball the one before he got out but that went for 4...

Only qualms I have with batting are sometimes when the AI bowls a yorker I get a pull shot instead of a leg glance...and similar other things like this too which makes it a bit irritating but all the while good fun so far.

What settings are you using? Any modifier...modifications? Difficulty levels? I only ever get dismissed bowled or LBW.

I'm playing career mode of Virat Kohli and without any domestic matches, straight away my next match was for India against Zimbabwe. Is this normal ?
