Ashes to Ashes Mafia - Endgame (SK win)

Oh, his royal highness.!!

I think this is the best time to defend yourself WC. Give us 1 good reason why you shouldn't be lynched.

One good reason?

He is harmless. We need to lynch someone who will actually be a problem to the town. He is neither helping nor harming us unless he is putting on an act and is actually masterminding the Mafia.

I am surprised I'm not at the top of his suspect list:lol.

----------

Being a miller doesn't make me interpret things differently.. two individuals could interpret things differently anyway.
In past games, we've seen a lot of new players unable to play the Miller role properly, and end up looking scum for no reason.

I tend to read games from a neutral perspective, which gives me a better insight than when I try reading it from a town or mafia perspective. This also puts more people under my suspicion.

Apart from this, I think the bulletproof vest he had would have allowed RHPKR to be a bit reckless in his play, knowing, if he becomes a target for the mafia, he might end up saving a night kill for the town.

All this is ofcourse speculation, that I think might have been. I've had no contact with him about his gameplay, nor do I intend to.

----------

Coming to think of it, maybe WC's the godfather? His inactivity might explain the missed night kill because he did not send in his role.

I guess it's possible he could be Mafia or a third party but if he's missing his night kills he isn't much of a threat. If we had no-one else to lynch we can lynch him otherwise he is harmless, a bit like a goldfish in a swimming pool.

Eh so you were Mafia and also a bulletproof you think? How does that work?

Do you think RPHKR was perhaps targeted on night 1 or something?

I think these are all the claims + what we already know.

Simon - tracker
Varun - Cop/ Insane cop
Abhas - Ricky Ponting - Miller
Manly - Ian Botham - Town Drunk - Roleblocker
User2010 - Cop

Not sure who to believe out of Manly or Ste. Manly's claim seems to be pretty convenient, plus he's been going after the don, but suddenly goes after Ste and Simon. Simon you've left though.

Set has been all over the place, and talked about how his suspicions were just him being drunk one night, and it not working-out for him.

Simon's claim seems plausible + it fits in with the write-up

Varun's claim is the most interesting. If true one of Abhas & Callum appear to be mafia & the other miller. That or they are both town, which doesn't make sense because Abhas has claimed miller.

FOS: CG123, Manly, Ste

Or he's a paranoid cop hence why I've come up as mafia? He's not a normal cop, in all likelihood User was the normal cop and there's not going to be two.

Also User was probably a cop and two sane cops seems unlikely. Looking at his character as well I had a brief skim and insane cop seems more likely than paranoid cop.

If he's insane then the only explanation that I can come up with is that Abhas is the godfather, hence he would normally come up as town but instead now he's come up as mafia.

Simon tracking theDon and coming up with nothing and the way theDon's been playing is good enough for me not to worry about him atm. Simon's claim is all but confirmed. Varun's character claim seems alright and if he was mafia it would've been strange of him to post that he suspected me yesterday just out of the blue, so I'm leaning towards him telling the truth.

I think I posted yesterday that I've had a feeling that one of Manly or Ste are mafia, and there discussion today confirms that possibility. The only problem with Manly is that a mafia roleblocker is much more common than a town one. And I'd go as far as saying that it's very unusual not to have a mafia roleblocker. I'd probably be slightly leaning towards Ste being mafia out of the two.

As two of the few of us that haven't claimed yet, it's still very much a possibility that User investigated either WC or swirler on night one, so I get the feeling that one of them might be mafia as well.

Hence atm I get the feeling that either of the following are possible:

- If Varun is insane then Abhas is the godfather with Manly as the roleblocker
- If Varun is paranoid then Ste is mafia along with one of WC/swirler or one of WC/swirler is the godfather with Manly as the roleblocker
- Varun is lying and he's mafia along with someone

Abhas has been giving off town vibes though and I'm leaning towards Varun being paranoid, which means for me in no particular order:

FOS: Ste, Manly, WC, swirler

WC saying Simon is on his suspect list makes me suspect that Varun and theDon are both town and he is actually mafia, either that or he's the worst townie in the history of PC mafia.

WORLD CHAMPIONS - Can you please post the name of your character and what your night role is. It's called a roleclaim, and it will help us confirm that you are town.

Simple reason, I ain't part of Mafia :mad

What ?? If everyone starts to claim their role, then what's the point of being undercover

Because people are suspicious of you atm, so by doing so you will clear that suspicion and allow us to focus on other people like Varun, theDon, and Simon.

----------

Knowing that you're not mafia will help us a lot.

The way Varun was playing, like the way he randomly was suspicious of you is really the problem with him. He absolutely knows what he's doing, yet for a townie with a power role his gameplay has been really poor IMO. Seems like he's trying to attract attention which is the last thing you should do with a power role like that. It was quite clear he knew something and he wasn't really analysing the other players in the game properly at all.

Other than the gameplay though I think his claim was a solid one and his results made sense.

I guess he is probably paranoid then. Though I thought miller comes up as guilty even to an insane cop? Also, would the Godfather actually come up as Mafia aligned to an insane cop?

I agree that one of Manly and ste are probably Mafia. IMO it would be a bit obvious to give the town drunk role to Manly, that is very much guessable. I literally guessed his role yesterday if it's true.

Looking at ste's analysis a town drunk would make sense, and it would make the most sense if it was Manly.

His play has been better than ste's though IMO, he has made some solid analysis since he sobered up and he's gone after people with good reasoning as well. Only strange thing was how keen he was to lynch WC early on day 2 without even attempting to go after anyone else, and then he accused me of changing my opinions too much... Ste's posts have really puzzled me in that they all seem quite odd. I've said the word odd plenty of timesto describe gameplay this game, but I can't quite put my finger on it, something just isn't right about his analysis and his posts in this game. Ste hasn't claimed and at this stage unless we go after him I think we need one more night before we have a full mass claim as the discussion has only really started today and we don't want all our power roles exposed immediately on our first day of solid discussion. Some of the claims were a bit unnecessary like Simon's though, it's too early I think.

I feel other people should look up Varun's character too to try and shed more light on the possibilities. I'm terrible at such things...

Btw, on your last point, I wouldn't really look into what WC says, he would always put me on his suspect list simply out of spite seeing the number of times I've had a go at him. In any case he doesn't seem to know what he's doing anyway. I agree that he should claim though, he should be the first person to do so.

So I am happy to go after one of Manly and ste, then if we can't decide who to lynch we lynch WC but I doubt that'll happen today.

Is it likely that a two person mafia team will just consist of a godfather and another person without a role? I think we can be pretty sure that Manly is a roleblocker, it's just whether he's mafia or town.

The name of my character is David Bowie and I am a faith healer :spy

If Manly would have been a roleblocker, then someone would have been killed by now. We have already lost the Cop

Yeah I dunno, like I said, it would be really odd for him to be town drunk. He was actually town drunk I believe in the last game we played, Puddle Mafia 3 I believe. Colin was playing that game and it would be strange for him to repeat the same thing...

That would be a pretty weak Mafia team to just have a Godfather and a goon. Doesn't give them any power to do anything with town power roles coming out other than kill people.

Oddly enough, I am inclined to believe WC's role claim. Faith healer would be a doctor/jailkeeper and IIRC if he did actually protect some people, it would deem Manly's role claim false in all likelihood as didn't he say he was the one who probably deflected the kill on day 1?

When I came into the day I was more keen on going after ste and I was quite convinced by Manly due to his gameplay. Now I think I'm swinging towards lynching him...

One good reason?
Because of his inactivity.

Eh so you were Mafia and also a bulletproof you think? How does that work?
umm.. not sure what you're implying here?

Do you think RPHKR was perhaps targeted on night 1 or something?
Perhaps. I was trying to find out if that was the case, but there is no evidence of the same.

----------

About WC's role, I feel David Bowie is a reasonable character claim, not sure what to make of the "faith healer" part.
What exactly is our role supposed to do WC?

Sorry, I meant miller when I said Mafia:p.

I think RPHKR would probably be an odd one to go for on the first day as he had just replaced someone and didn't stand out as much of a day 1 target...

Even I was a bit surprised, but the reason kind of made sense.. Being one of the best in the world, yet, having lost the ashes thrice, a miller (villain) combined with a bulletproof ability (hero) would probably be the perfect balance to the character.

But, at the same time, as someone suggested earlier, if there is a poisoner, I may be vulnerable at night, and possibly the only way to "night-kill" me.

Yeah I've had enough of him chasing after WC, now is not the time to be doing that. At least knock off his partner and then think about lynching off WC. After going so hard after ste and Simon I'm surprised he'd so easily just go back to WC.

WC is improving at least.

Lynch: Manly

One more needed to hammer I believe.

----------

No I think with WC's lynch I hammered Manly.

----------

I think we made the right choice but if it turns out he is town then perhaps we have a big case against WC and ste.
