Asia Cup 2008

You can't say they are truly out of the competition yet, although one would assume they should be after playing really bad.

I hope you got the sarcasm of my last post.

pakistan gotta beat india and bangladesh and they gotta hope that bangladesh beats sri lanka...:D

the format of this asia cup is really dumb, lanka have 2games against bangladesh which almost guarantees them 4 points leaving pakistan at a distinct disadvantage.

I agree, this is the most boring tournament EVER...

one reason why this tournament is boring is because there are no crowds... i dont see any excitement... all matches except pakistani ones look like practice matches...

BTW jaya is gonna make 200 today...

Hes gone for 130 though:p

He could have got Saeed Anwar's record easily here. Even a slow inning would have done it from 130...

Bangladesh really needed to hold their catches.

Musta been a great smash-fest from Jayasuriya.

I think we'll see 400 here today. Though Sri Lanka's lower order may not be strong enough to keep the pace up.

Code:
27.5 Alok Kapali to Jayasuriya, OUT, Caught at deep cover. It was the short of length slider and Sanath carved it to the fielder. Out for a furious 130. Legend.
	ST Jayasuriya c Tamim Iqbal b Alok Kapali 130 (88b 16x4 6x6) SR: 147.72

lol...could have gone on to make one tbh...he had so much time

so disappointed with paks last 2 matches...after that final win against india i was feeling a bit optimistic but all my dreams were shattered after 2 really bad performances...against india they did alright with bat but their bowling was just atrocious and we saw how much they depended on gul...second one bowling again wasn't up to scratch apart from tanvirs and batting failed...they went too slow
tbh they are well and truly out of it as srilanka seems to have earnt itself a pretty easy win against bangla...

Lets face it though. Wouldn't we all rather see an ODI record against a team a little bit stronger. Like England perhaps. ;)

To be honest, I would be pissed off if he got it today. Obviously we would want to see it against a stronger team.

Jayasuria blew a great chance away. Anyway some records aren't meant to be broken. 400 is a definite for the Srilis and they look like they're back in the form they were in the World Cup.
