Asia Cup 2010 - Sri Lanka

But they always fade. Very indiscipline. Waqar, Wasim always had problems with each other. They had competition on who can do the most stupidest thing. Then Akhtar with Asif.

And it's not fast bowling, they had some good spinners as well. Just like the Ozs. Good bowling attack all together. Spin and Pace.

Yea but I just like them for the fast bowling. To me, the Wasim and Waqar combo is the best pace bowling combination to have graced cricket (and yes, I am sure there were others but my knowledge is limited)

Also because I am left handed, I sort of am an automatic Wasim fanboy

Ambrose and Walsh, 421 wickets in 49 tests.

Looking foward to seeing an attack of Aktar/Asif/Aamir.

i think Waqar said that he wont rush Akhtar back so we might not see him back yet. Probably go with Asif, Aamer, Ajmal, Rehman, and Razzaq.

Sweet, these games will be on ESPN3. May catch a bit here and there between the World Cup and work and such.

I root for all decent fast bowlers and Pakistan produces some of the best ones.
Now I see why you despise India so much. :D

haha, I watch cricket only for the fast bowling, even when I watch highlights, I mostly watch the wickets and the spells when the bowlers are on top.

Batting bores me, as weird as that sounds.

The idea that you can hit a batsman and thats ok is really what drew me to cricket. After watching videos of bouncers, I was hooked

Wait, the Asia Cup only has the 4 Test nations? That's super lame. It would have been nice to see them actually expand the pool to include Afghanistan and another up-and-coming team (I have no idea who else is playing well in Asia--maybe Nepal? or Malaysia or Singapore or something) instead of getting rid of UAE and Hong Kong, entirely.

Nepal is decent but no way near enough to play an ODI. There is no one in asia higher than WCL DIV 4 or 3 I think.

Afghanistan just won the right to ODi status for 2 years, if anything this is the time to use it

Ranks as at 28 February 2010 according to ICC

Afghanistan overall rank 14 (Asia associate rank 1)

UAE overall rank 17 (Asia associate rank 2)

Oman overall rank 21 (Asia associate rank 3)

Hong Kong overall rank 24 (Asia associate rank 4)

Nepal overall rank 29 (Asia associate rank 5)

-----------------------------------------------

Ok so thats the top 5 ranked associates in Asia with their respective overall global rankings.

Besides Afghanistan its rather hopeless, Hiog Kong have fallen by the way side in WCL after their last Asia cup appearance.

Pakistan have announced their team - Shahzaib Hasan and Umar Amin will make their debuts, and Shoaib Akhtar will make his return to international cricket.

One notable exclusion is Saeed Ajmal - I guess Afridi thinks he can perform as the sole spinner (with Malik).

I have heard a few Americans say that for why the were interested in cricket.

Hoping to see Akhtar back, missed his bowling action.

Here we go. Sanga won the toss. Afridi says he's playing Shoaib, Amir and Asif I think.

Can the jersey ## be any smaller? Jezz. Thats gay. It's suppose to be BOLD and BIG!

quite interesting Pakistan Lineup, Akhtar and Malik are back, Amin playing his debut.

But where is the spinner. Shazaib won't be doing that good so as Afridi, Azmal should've been in the team.
