If you have seen the whole match then you will know. Pakistan was never in chance till 41st over. Infact they were in match only for 3 overs and their batting was pathetic tbh. They were just hitting all around and losing their wickets at regular interval. That's the problem Pak always had with their batting. Not to mention about their fielding.

Gambhir and Kamran conservation was Epic

Both the BCCI and PCB should endeavour to organize more matches between these two teams. It's always great to watch them go after each other with all guns blazing. Don't remember the last time we had such a thrilling encounter.

Cool down boy. Seeing that India scored the winning runs off the penultimate ball of the innings, its easy to say that batting wise, both teams performed on par with each other (you could say batting was tougher in the night for India, but still we won only at the very end). Bowling wise, nothing to seperate the teams (from the figures, I am saying). So I guess its the fielding that has seperated the teams more.

Agree with fielding and bowling. But India was better in batting considering they were playing in Night. They just lose out momentum when Dhoni lost his wicket. But then again Raina and Bhajji maintained the momentum. So it wasn't going for Pak anyway with their terrible fielding in the end.

Lol no, Gambhir was complaining about Kamran over applauding for every ball which he didn't appreciated. Then dhoni came and cool down the things.

Oh and Sachin didn't even play. His lack of presence wasn't even felt the entire match. This is a really good sign for the future.

I too would hate an overkill, but we should organize some tours at least for the sake of the fans. Maybe once in every two years or something like that. But I guess that won't be happening anytime soon as there's too much politics going on ATM between these two nations.

Come on India take last times revenge. I still say India is best in the 50 Over Format. But dying to see India VS Australia 50 Over Series.

People under rated us even in ODI's after our poor show in the T20 games. We are a much much better ODI side. Now with Gambhir amongst runs and Sachin expected to bloster the team soon, good times can be expected from us.

Could this have attirbuted to our better fielding in this series (especially in today's game)? Cricinfo seems to be praising our general improvement in fielding in today's game (check out their Plays of the day article for the game). If this is true, it will be good for the team. Keep the partying to only victories, fielding and fitness come first.

Akhtar is a dick for screwing that run the ball before the six. I had firm faith we were gonna win this one when Dhoni did it. Ah well, the only place India were truely better than us were their fielding and thats only the reason they won.

When did I say the Indian innings were 'bad'. It was much more constructed then the Pakistani one and Gambhir played a very mature innings. But throughout the game the Indian batting and bowling was as good as the Pakistani one. And I did say truely, meaning that that point was very clear. The rest could be debatable.

Surely the game could have ended different when Raina could have been runout or when Aamir didnt drop a sitter? Or maybe had we fielded better we could have stopped some extra runs? :sarcasm

Yeah we were never in chance even when Malik and Butt were forming up a good looking partnership, or when Afridi was getting into his rhythm (which didnt last long though) or when Akmal was hitting those sixes. Or not even when Sehwag was being taught was quality fast bowling really is? :sarcasm

Also did you see the Australia-Pakistan semi-final? Pakistan looked the most likely team to win for 39 overs, but Australia held on and won it. So the fact that we were in the game till the last ball itself meant we were there "with a chance."

Great win for India, you guys got the revenge for Champions Trophy. Gambhir continues to torment us.

However, I'm really tired of seeing Pakistan lose like this!

There have been so many heartbreaking losses for Pakistan recently that it's not even funny anymore. Most of those losses are result of poor fielding, which was on show once again today. 2-3 dropped catches, missed run out chances, fumbles in the field....

These guys have forgotten how to win.

Gambhir and Dhoni played quite well but gave their wickets at wrong time to make the match exciting.

that was probably the best match i didn't see if only they showed the asia cup here. i really want to see akhtar bowling i guess i'll have to wait until pakistan comes here next year.
