Darn! Gonna miss Viru in the Asia Cup. The last time he played an ODI in the Sun continent..he scored a double ton!

Certainly yes! And it's better sooner than later that people accept the fact that he is the best batsman we have for subcontinental pitches.

Oh please Sai, I don't do that. Never in a debate have I dragged in the favorite player of the person against me. That's not my character!

And on such subcontinent wickets, we have so many guys who can score big and inflate their batting figures, so I wont miss Viru.

I guess you missed this post. Isn't it quite evident that even though almost everyone scores runs, Viru is the most dominant of all them!

Since we don't have Rahane or Parthiv in the squad, India will open with Gambhir and Sachin.

As I have said before though that we can try Yusuf Pathan in the opening slot. If Jadeja is not getting any runs than we can surely try Yusuf at the top of the order as he can be a straight replacement with Sehwag.

Well if you look at it again, it's just Bangladesh..you can fly in an urgent replacement if required.

Lol I can see what you are saying too, but to make an effective transition from experience to youth you need a combination of both. If Misbah is out who do you want to take his place? Are we basically arguing his place as captain or a player? As mentioned I would have preferred Afridi, but Misbah has got results for him and the last series was the only exception. As a batsman we just dont have anyone capable of taking his spot.

Squad has been announced, glad to hear we are going with a full time keeper.

Prefer Riaz and Jamshed over the squads, this should be the lineup that starts. If the batting feels thin, bring in Younis, but I think in fairness they should do well. We got depth and decent quality in the batting just need to get in the right frame of mind. Whatmore should help

To be honest He didnt even deserve place as a player in One Days and Twenty Twenty, there is a plenty of talent out there who can fill this place. You just have to give chance just like there are many players playing in this team who are just tere because they got consistent chances and I dont know on what basis they got that. Azhar Ali can do Misbah role pretty well. A Young fresh batsman who can play aggressive as well at times we have seen, you just have to give him chance.

The Squad is almost same, Either Nazir or Shehzad should be there along with Hafeez and Jamshed. Cheema has been again picked up, A poor choice once more. On a whole, its a good team still but not upto the mark I doubt that Asia cup will be our glory...

Surely i'll also be looking for Ajmal-Sachin contest.There is only one match for me in the series and that is on 17th(If we dont qualify for the final).As long as we have Misbah as our Captain in limited overs i think we are always gonna struggle.

You need to start lightening up! You seem to think of it as an issue and so thats your problem actually. I never saw it as an issue. I posted it as a very tongue in cheek remark (with intentions of bringing in some humor; you know what tongue in cheek means?).

Why are you going to the matter of religion?!

You need to develop a respect to all religions. It's because of this mentality there are so many communal riots.

If you don't like the cricket team and idiots like Dhoni (like me) then you are free to express your hatred but not in such an abrupt manner.

Coming to the game, India could win the Asia Cup with the likes of Sachin, Raina, Virat and others. (which I hope they don't if Dhoni leads the side. just hoping that the team does well and Dhoni would be an epic fail!) Sorry fellas but I hate that MSD just too damn bloody much!

^ Given the form Sachin has been in, I dont think he'll be picking Ajmal at all, neither he did in WC SF, he was struggling against Ajmal big time. So I don't think Rehan said anything wrong.
