Yeah I'm curious about the lack of conventional swing representing. I suspect perhaps the pitches so far have been too dry.

yeah bu i think that australia actually might sneak it.

All they have to do is defend but if they can play their shots (just not the risky ones). England have got 400 in 1 day why cant a far superior aussie batting attack. Also most drives, cuts etc will go for 4 as there will be an attacking field

Fair point. Most important thing for Aus is to last longer at the crease than they have all series. It's not so much limiting the risks, but sensible play. Conviction.

Nah they wont win....the Auz wont even be able to get 400 on the last day on that pitch. Old Trafford is famous for difficult batting on the final days and although England made it look easy this is just cos of the pure poor quality of the Auz bowling attack.

Aussie batsmen (apart from the tail) have no discpline!!! They have no chance!!!

Did Mcgrath get a hat trick? The scorecard and highlights showed Strauss' dissmisal, followed by Flintoff and Pieterson both out fo golden ducks...

No, Bell scored after strauss' dismissal as they crossed and Flintoff faced 16 balls iirc.

Would be one of the all time great bowling performances if we bowl them out tomorrow, although Vaughan should have had Langer (i think it was him) LBW. Struass' innings was fab, nice 27 off of 12 balls from jones aswell.

Michael Vaughan bowled well, caused problems. He should bowl far more. I'm not sure what Hoggard's role is now. He can't seem to swing the ball, which is what get's his wickets. He is wasting the new ball!

yep i would be up for Tremlett replacing him, we have Jones to swing it now, even Flintoff is swinging it well.

well he scored 4 runs no boundaries all singles iirc. KP got a goodun
iirc??

I believe the banner on the highlights was wrong then...must have still been Pietersons...

Ok guys here are my changes for the 4th test.
Kasprowicz for Gillespie
Mike Hussey for Clarke(injured)
Symonds for Katich
I'd like to see Symonds given ago, even though he is a specialist ODI player, i think if Australia work with him he'll be bigger than Flintoff. Hussey for Clarke, simply because of injury, Hussey is on fire and will be a massive bonus for Australia. Finally, this is very depressing but i'm afraid Gillespie's series is over and Kasprowicz will take his spot. I think Gillespie should do some work with Dennis Lillie and hopefully work on his problems and then get back into the Australian team for the Super Series coming up in September against the World XI

 ............. how do you figure that mate? It's a fifth day pitch..... History tells us that Australia have pretty much zero chance of reaching the total......... Australia will try to reach the total........ they are a batsmen down...... only Langer has looked willing to put his head down and compiling an innings...... we will be batting against a supposedly great bowling combination...... am I missing something here?

I'd add Warne for Ponting as captain..

Dizzy is definitely gone, if Clarke is out injuried Hodge is most likely to replace him as he is in the side. I would like to see Hussey and Symonds in there but won't happen.
