Well that just sucks I wanted to see our tail bat. Warne chance for a 100 and McGrath well its always fun watching him bat.

As Warne and the tail enders have showed in this match and the last match its not that englands bowlers are too good and in great form its that the aussie batsmen are completely out of form.

Yes Flintoff and Harmison are good and in a few years could be very very good but bowlers like giles, jones and hoggard would normally be smashed by the aussies in form and any other decent batting side.

What i dont understand is why are all the batsmen sitting in the change rooms watching the tail enders bat and passing time during the rain.
Cant they send some of to go waste there time in the nets or somewhere else to get some batting practice.
Then when mcrath comes into bat call em back.

Is that so they can watch him bat :rtfl
I don't mind them doing that as they want to show they have faith in their bowlers. I don't think pratice is what they need. They just need to change their mind set. Maybe Gilly needs to go into the nets to fix up this problem he has but the rest just have to get the silly shots out of their game.

Good replacements. I only don't see Hodge coming in. Australia play with normally three pacers and one spinner on normal pitches in Test matches.

It would be better to replace Clarke with Symonds. And Watson and Hussey are in very good form. :) And I have never seen Tait bowl. I hope he will get a chance soon in upcoming Tests.

Hodge is the man in the squad and he is the one who has done the work at first class level to make it into the Test team. Symonds will have to work very hard to get into the Test squad again.

Hayden on the other hand looks ok, just needs to get it right. If he is patient, the innings will come to him.

Hayden thinks he can just smash the bowlers to all parts of the ground. He needs to knuckle down like his other opener is. Mike Hussey should replace him, he's in good touch

Funny how after Lords it was the English fans calling for changes, now it's the Aussies.

I am all for Symonds. If he comes of we will have another big hitter in the mould of KP and Flintoff. Symonds could also bowl off spin and medium pace.

What's with Freddie and his No-Balls? He's bowled far too many

At Lords: 9 + 5 = 14
At Edgbaston: 3 + 13 = 16
At Old Trafford: 8* = 8

TOTAL: 38

Most aussies were calling for changes before the tests even started no one was performing in any of the lead up games with the bat except M Hussey and Gillespie was struggling back then aswell.

The reason Aussies were doing so well before was if they failed too many times in a row they would be dropped (except ponting, hayden an langer)for someone else so they made every innings count.
Now it seems no matter how crap there going there place in the team is secure so they dont need to worry about having poor performances in a row and being replaced.

Some would say thats a good thing because its less pressure and one less thing to worry about but its obviously not working and they performed better when there place in the team rested on every match.

It's a pity that he didn't make it to his century but, its a real bonus for the English fans. It shouldn't take long to get rid of Lee and McGrath now.
