14 people have voted that England will win the Ashes.

Good to see blatant biased clouding sensible judgement as usual :)

Which side are you talking about?
:p

I'm absolutely disgusted by the Aussies this series, our batsmen have done half decent, but our bowlers have bowled terrible. We need Brett Lee back, he was one one of the best One Day bowlers if not the best for 18 months before this injury to his shoulder

I can't believe it we finally got beat by a crap team!!!

I'm happy Australia are getting beat yeah i know I'm a Aussie but I'm sick of the arrogance and Dominican for Australia

Id like to see us get beat by england in the ahses for cricket to survive england NEED to win this ashes series

Yep squiz, Lee was missed big time yesterday. Sooner he's back the better for your guys, and he'll be looking for some revenge on Freddie for doing his shoulder in the 20/20.
As I've said before, I'm sure Aus will come into form sooner or later; there's too much talent in the squad for them not to.
Btw, credit to you and adthomp for posting; seems a little quiet from down your way atm...until, that is, you start winning again ;) .

Symonds has been banned for the England Vs Australia match.

wow and england beat australia Pieterson smashed it all around 8 4s and 4 6s!!

England might be the real deal!! hope they can keep this up in the tests

but if you remember teh wrold cup when Aust srugglesd early on then came into from got used to the wicket had to win about 5 staight games then beat south africa twice (yes one of them was that famous tie) then beat pakistan in the final

Could also be the decline of Australian cricket... anyways, no denying that they are a great side with some all time best players!

Ricky Pointing feels pressure after a few losses???? dam the media can be harsh!

what Australia are spose to win every game

i still have no doubt will be england Australia final thats when England have to win thats the only problem

hello?

Just two competetive matches that they have lost. Just shows that they are human.

They did show a lot of improvement and a lot of spark which we usually see from the Aussies, in the match against England. But unfortunately they were outdone by Harmison and Pietersen.

Series Result Australia 3-1
Man of the Series Shane Warne
General Notes England will be humbled after the first test, Strauss will show himself to be very very good, Warnie will take 25+ wickets, Flintoff will take <10 wickets and <200 runs, McGraths 500th wicket will be Trescothick in the first 10 overs, Harmison will take <15 wickets.
Series Result England 2-0
Man of the Series Marcus Trescothick
General Notes After a high scoring drawn test match at Lords, England will stun the Aussies at Edgbaston to take a 1-0 lead. This will be followed by another drawn test at Machester, with lots of play lost due to rain. Then England will wrap up an Ashes victory in either the Brit Oval or Trent Bridge, and send the Aussies back home with nothing. Marcus Trescothick will be the star batsmen for England, hitting 4 hundreds, (including a 200) in 10 innings, and will have an average of about 85 in the series. He will smashing the likes of Gillespie, Kasprowicz, Tait, Lee to all parts of the ground. Other England players who will do well are Andrew Flintoff, Steve Harmison and Graham Thorpe. I also expect a good series for Simon Jones and Geraint Jones. Michale Vaughan will score a hundred at Lords.
Shane Warne will be the highest wicket taker in the series however and that will be the only good point for the Aussies. McGrath will do well, but the others will have a series to forget.

:D

Despite being on the losing end it's nice to see some competitive cricket involving the Aussies for a change- I don't think the signs are horrible, Kasper and Dizzy are bowling pretty ordinarily but Lee will do a great deal to remove the predictability of our quicks, and Symonds provide hitting power in the later overs that we've probably lacked. We are in ordinary form, no doubt, but bear in mind that the latest match was a great contest which probably would've gone our way without another Pietersen special, we've only been on the losing end in a couple of close games and there's ample room for improvement which we'll no doubt see through the tour. No alarm bells yet for me ;)

Nice comment on the radio this morning. In light of the fact that Australia have lost to Bangladesh and Somerset, should they retain their test status? A campaign must be started to move them to a lower division alongside the likes of Scotland and Denmark where they can start winning again. Maybe in 10 years we'll let them play the big boys again.

You poms shouldn't be getting to cocky.
Lol, any idea what sarcasm/saying something tongue-in-cheek is?. It's a great British trait, win or lose. (I take it your post was tongue-in-cheek Colin? ;) ).

Just shows why the calls for Bangladesh's test status to be removed should be ignored. :p
