I'm absolutely disgusted by the Aussies this series, our batsmen have done half decent, but our bowlers have bowled terrible. We need Brett Lee back, he was one one of the best One Day bowlers if not the best for 18 months before this injury to his shoulder

And Freddie put him out in the 20/20 :hpraise

brett lee is scheduled to play against england on thursday though and australia might consider symonds aswell after his 2 match suspension finished yesterday

if lee and symonds do play on thursday, lee will most probably replace kasper and symonds with watson

.Lee sucks and i don't see how he could change anything,
26 wickets from 13 games at 19 in 2005 and one of the best ODI bowlers in the world at the moment.....

Code:
    1 Glenn McGrath AUS
    2 Chaminda Vaas SL
    3 Muttiah Muralitharan
    4 Brett Lee AUS

Aussies have too much quality not to bounce back. i think these two defeats have shaken them and made them realize that they need not take any side lightly and b agressive all the time. Aggression has been the key to their success and that was missing in last two encpounter. I am especially disappointed at seeing how Gillespie bowled, he hardly bowled over 82 MPH where we know he has touched 88 MPH regularly in not too distant past. I am sure Aussies will get some fire power with lee and thats the inpisration they need to get back to winning ways.

I think if Lee is fit then he will definately play the next game. Symonds will be back for the next game too. I think Watson is not at all international class cricketer. I think they should pick new fast bowlers like Tait and Noffke for future series considering that McGrath, Gillespie and even kasper are at the dusk of their career. One other thing missing from the Aussies in past 4 matches is that both the openers have got out quickly (in one instance Hayden retired out). Australia almost always has either Gilchrist or Hayden scoring big runs which has not happened so far in first two matches of the series.

He sure does. And also he has lost atleast 3 good years of play at his prime.
He looks to be holding good but do you think a guy who has had so many injuries , will hold up for another 5 years? People are talking that Sachin who bats (not as strenous as fast bowling) would end his career soon due to a tennis elbow!

Brett Lee is over rated he is eratic and isn't good for ODI cricket all he has is speed

The most embarrassing defeat in our sport history?Hmmmmmm

McGrath should be able to carry on until he is about 40, his 8/24 performance against Pakistan suggests he is still well at his peak.

Gillespie looked very flat over the weekend, his bowling was wayward, with little bite and his fielding was not too flash either. Perhaps he had a few with Symonds. :p

I'm certainly not Brett Lee's biggest fan, but an ODI bowling average of 22.17 suggests he is quite a good performer in one dayers and you adthomp are speaking blind rhetoric.

Yeah, you're right. Having the fourth best bowling average amongst current bowlers with more than 100 wickets is pretty crap.

So do you want him in the test side?Anyway.....If England has any quality batsman then i'm sure once they get in they'll have fun putting to all parts of the ground, especially with the small grounds.
