Australia vs England ODI Series - 7 matches - Sep 4 to Sep 20

They wish they were so high up as to be lower class. Filthy horrible peasants.

roobish , absolute roobish

It could be the reason that Siddle is in the squad, seeing as he was so effective in SA in the test series.

It was a Test series, our selectors need to learn that they should pick based on form in that particular format. They have taken a massive gamble picking Siddle, if one of the frontline bowlers go down or Bracken continues this poor form then they need to use Siddle who didn't look all that impressive in his 1st proper ODI.

The English may as well try Onions, he can't go any worse than the current bowlers.

Yea Rashid looks far from impressive tbh. Over the lat two games he's bowled a lot of rubbish, heck even in the first game he bowled some trash. Luckily for him Clarke didn't want to score any runs. Swann should be playing instead of him.

Oh and Tim Bresnan > any other English seamer. I actually think he looks good tbh.

He's been rubbish every time he has played for us. Swann, Sidey, Broad, Flintoff and Anderson are all far better options.

Bresnan seems to have a knack for picking up wickets and right now hes the only one picking up wickets for the English so I wouldn't be too hard on him.

I haven't seen much of Bresnan admittedly, but from what I have seen I've been impressed. He has a good solid action, he swing's the ball, and he seems to get pretty good bounce form back of a length. He's a keeper that's for sure.

One of the most selfish and worst batsman of all-time.

Stats and trivia

* Australia's victory on Tuesday took them level with India at second place on the ODI rankings. A win on Thursday will move them to first alongside South Africa, and another victory at Chester-le-Street will ensure they reclaim top spot in the rankings entering the Champions Trophy.

* England's all-time ODI win-loss record slipped to 246-247 after Tuesday's defeat to Australia; just the second time since the start of 2007 they have entered negative territory.

* Ponting requires 43 runs to usurp Inzamam-ul-Haq as the third highest all-time run-scorer in ODIs.

England... lol

That ones for you, evo!

Australia win a toss

WTF? We've dropped our best OD bowler in Broad in place of Anderson. Some of our team selections are simply stupid. Nice to see Swanny back in though.

Oh, that makes sense, Broad's injured.

Those wanting Clarke out of our ODI team get their wish. Can't believe how far the queue Hilfenhaus has fallen, surely he should have got a game this tour to see where hes at. Ponting said we will be going full strength for the last game so Voges will also miss out on playing a game.

WTF? No Hilfy? This guy was the best bowler in the ashes and he isn't even getting a game!

Yay, England lost the toss. Now they aren't even winning those anymore. :laugh

Holding is ripping into Tim Paine here, although he makes a very valid point. Paine's scoring rate hasn't been great and this then forces him to move about his crease leading to his wicket.

Can't believe that shot by Watson went for 4, looked to be very little timing.

If it wasn't for squad rotation I wouldn't have dropped Clarke, makes the batting line up a lot more solid.

EDIT: Good start, 3 wides. I wouldn't be scared of bowling near Paine Sidey, he's not going to smack it.
