Australia vs England ODI Series - 7 matches - Sep 4 to Sep 20

Been enjoying watching this Tim Paine hundred. Really well constructed, just set himself a platform to make a big score and played properly. That's 3 Australian centuries in this series compared to 0 for England. We've not scored an ODi hundred since Strauss's against the West Indies away all those months ago.

Australia may as well declare now. They've already got enough, with 13 overs left and these 2 not looking like getting out Australia are set for a massive score. 6-0 it is then.

Seeing as we refuse to pick any half decent players I have lost all interest in England's ODI side.

At some point in the future they may pick the 11 best players in England and then we might be competitive.

Until then who gives a ████ we won the ashes.

Where are the bowlers in England capable of taking wickets? The only 2 we've got are injured, Fred and Broad, and really outside this hopeless lot there's not much. Mahmood, Napier and Rashid are options, but I don't really see them offering much more than this lot. More worrying than our batting woes, at least there are batsmen in England that should be playing.

Bring back KerPlunkett.

The Aussies still crap their pants at the mention of his name.

A wicket for Swann, the problem is Australia already have such a good platform.

Don't you guys have any out and out quick bowlers? They are the guys that can get you wickets. Onions is worth a go too, hes in the form of his life and hes in your CT squad so I don't know why he hasn't been given a game.

Hussey gone, good knock though once again quietening the critics just when they are about to get him. And there goes Paine too, a very good knock comes to an end. Just a shame we won't get to see him hitting out.

Again a team doesn't take the powerplay while the batsmen are there :doh

We never use the powerplay before the 40th over and we never learn from our mistakes so don't expect us to change our ways. These two are the perfect guys you want in the powerplay so hopefully they don't get out before we can even use it.

Because he's a very average One Day bowler that barely gets a game for Durham.

We have 1 genuine quick bowler outside Flintoff, and that's Saj Mahmood. We're just not producing quickies anymore for some reason. You know you've got problems when Tim Bresnan and Luke Wright are played as frontline seamers.

To be honest, I think the sort of bowler England need to find is probably one who is struggling in limited overs, if not domestic cricket entirely. Look at the ones who are doing well, how much money would you put on Dominic Cork, at his age, doing so well at ODIs? The guys at the top could possibly serve a purpose, but they're not spearheads. The synergy just isn't there.

Well your selectors picked him in the CT squad so either you guys are at the bottom of the barrel or the English selectors see something in him.

Our selectors are morons. They continually pick players who aren't good enough for One Day cricket, and Onions is just the next one of that bunch. He's not a good OD bowler, if he was he'd be playing ahead of Neil Killeen regularly for Durham. Saj Mahmood or Graham Napier would have been better options.

Worst possible start for a powerplay, good ball by Anderson to get Paine. Hopes has come in and is timing it very well.
