Australia's tour of India 2019

I would personally not add Jadeja in the squad agree he is a brilliant fielder but piss poor batter in the limited overs format and just bowls darts when the pitch is flat like today's atleast Chahal flights it a bit so would rather play Chahal if two spinners are needed or Play Shankar alongside Hardik Pandya to fill the 11.

Chahal himself resorts to darts. He is a very under rated batsman. It's easy to call him piss poor. India's middle order has barely got consistent opportunities so the lower order is few and far in between. Not to mention the constant chop and change. I challenge anyone to show me the last 5-10 performances of Jadeja and Chahal in the last 10 limited overs games. And I don't mean stats.. I mean real performances. Chahal the package is of lesser value than Jadeja the package!

Anyone who wants to know why everything is going to the boundary?

Kohli's fields are crap!!! I've said it for ages!

(1) Horribel Fielding
(2) Horrible wicket-keeping
(3) Horrible death bowling.

Just poor stuff from a very experienced team.

Horrible stuff! Even Bumrah is leaking runs by the buckets here. Obviously the dew is playing it into the hands of the Australian batsman.

I guess we lost it during our batting innings by not scoring 375 or above. And I think Australia look way better now for the WC than a few months back. If Warner returns to their team in time for the WC, they will look really good. With the WC being held in a non-subcontinental country, spin threat is not as much and Australia should find it even better.

Take a bow Turner - that is an absolute beast of an innings coming in at no.7 perhaps the Indians became a bit complacent after that Handscomb wicket. Talking about captaincy Kohli has been shitting at such circumstances ever since he has been the captain of RCB in the IPL which is like 6-7 years now and that is an enough sample space to judge or examine an individuals traits.

Dhoni was missed today behind the stumps, especially in a game where dew plays a big factor. But harsh on Pant that the crowd kept chanting "Dhoni Dhoni" whenever Pant made a mistake. It's not Pant's mistake that he is being thrown at the deep end with just 2 international games away from the World Cup. I still don't understand as to why did Pant even come into the reckoning for the WC so late. They should have closed out that competition between Dhoni and Karthik and should've been looking for other batters for that big hitting capabilities that they're looking for in Pant.

Pant is going to get his chance post-WC and could become a permanent fixture in the team. And on Dhoni, its a Catch-22 situation. His presence on the field and his keeping is pure gold, but his batting is 'blow cold, blow cold, blow warm, blow cold" kind.

So two high scoring games and two losses

I have had this fear that we lack big time when it comes to high scoring games. And it is again showing. Our bowling becomes listless and we always fail to score above par

This can easily happen in a crucial encounter in the world cup

We got a nice beating today ! Amazing strokes from Turner. In the end, it became so easy for the Aussies.

Ashton Turner actually prooved why he is so highly rated by the Cricket Australia and the Australian supporters. He overcame the pressure of being at the International level. I felt he was thinking like he was playing a Big Bash game. And such a humble guy he is. I heard him saying that he wasn't sure about coming to India and actually getting to play a game and he felt satisfied to make use of the opportunities he got.

Btw nice to see you here after a long time @zwarrior

I have been saying it again and again that this Australian team is more capable then what people think of it. They just lack experience but they still have the ability to prove their tag of World beaters !!!!!

I think we all know the totals being scored in England in the last 3-4 years. If we have common sense, it's not hard to figure whether Rahul can go for the kill or Rayudu. The T20 century he scored in England was a great example of how the wickets there suit his game.

The Australian player's really making selection for the World Cup difficult.

I don't think they'll drop Finch, especially after his 90-odd the other day, dropping Finch would create more uncertainty and needless pressure on the team. Finch has lead the side well, despite his poor form. Usman Khawaja being among the runs is also great news, especially coming into an Ashes series, what a quality player he is.
Wasn't a fan of Turner's selection, but it payed off. I don't expect him to play in the World Cup, and i wouldn't have him in the world cup squad on the basis of no room.

I'm conflicted on the idea of having Starc, Hazlewood and Cummins in the World Cup. Quite a lot of games, than off to a ashes series, bit concerning. At the moment, i'd rather win the Ashes than the World Cup, yeah i'd be good and all, but i'd be more satisfied with a Ashes win.

I feel like Turner might ease a spot into the World Cup Squad. I somewhat agree about the 3 quicks, I think they should rest Hazlewood for the Ashes and replace him with Jhye for the time being. Even Coulter-Nile could come in for Cummins but I think Starc has to say, a left arm bowler is a must, Behrendorff is good but not as fit for One Day cricket. My World Cup squad is

Warner
Finch(c)
S.Marsh
Smith
Handscomb(wk)
M.Marsh(if fit)
Maxwell
Coulter Nile
Starc
Jhye
Lyon

Turner
Khawaja
Cummins (depending on fitness, we want him at full strength for the Ashes)
Stoinis

Doesn't seem like Hazlewood will be fir for the World Cup so we definitely want him at his best for the Ashes so he is left out.
Short has been in good form but hasn't really performed at international level, I think it's too late to test his ability again, especially in a tournament that big.

What's your World Cup squad? I'm eager to know

Mine Would Be

Finch C
Warner
U Khawaja
Smith
G Maxwell
M Stoinis
A Carey WK
P Cummins
M Starc
A Zampa
J Hazlewood if Fit

Reserves

J Richardson
K Richardson
D Short
P Handscomb
