Australia's Tour of India - 7 ODI's

Hopes is out for 2nd game, Lee and Mitch in doubt, damn.

At least we are lucky at the moment, we have good bowlers that can replace those 2, Bolly and Hilfy. Maybe Ranga or Marsh will replace Hopes. I am still waiting for Holland to get a game.

I have no doubt, Aussies will win the series, I hope Ponting can finally break the 16 Test win record.

Post Ashes in England, Aussies are unstoppable.

who !!!!!!

Anyone here think that Sachin helped Sehwag to lose his momentum and get out?
I think Sachin is no longer a good opener and he need to come in at no.3.
Gambhir will be the perfect partner for Sehwag, because he can rotate strike and can hit 4's as well. Also I think we are missing R.Dravid now.

No, no, no, no. You never pick a bowler because he can bat a bit, besides Praveen is probably not going to play an innings like that for quite awhile now if his record is anything to go by.

ya agreed,he probably will be dropped for the next match and rightly so.

Hughes/Warner
Paine
Ponting
Katich
Hussey
White/Marsh/Voges/henriques
Watson
Johnson
Lee
Hauritz
Siddle

How strong does that batting lineup look
Then theres 4 specialist bowlers all of which will normally always bowl 10 overs an 2 can bat well.
So just need 10 overs between Watson(been bowling well till this game),White an Katich

We were lucky to win that ame in the end not just because of poor bowling but because our batsmen play far too safely and happy to plod along only hitting bad balls for 4 or 6 on pitches like that you need to take some risks and attack the bowling.
Should of easily scored over 300 on that wicket.

point taken that more real batsman shd be included in the line up...

BUT.. I have serious doubts on warner , hughes and katich to fill them.

maybe marsh can open? but hughes and warner are fails who were thrown out of the team .. remember that?

maybe yes katich can be given a go or else hodge can be considered?

We didnt miss Dravid at all. We lost by 4 runs in the end. Had Dravid been there, we could have lost by 15 runs. The Aussie fielding and bowling initially was very tight and we found it hard to get things moving after sometime. Dravid is not an aerial hitter of the ball often, and he would have struggled to find the gaps too. And Sachin didnt help Sehwag lose momentum. These guys have done this for long. Sehwag will provide the momentum, Sachin will provide the anchoring. Thats what they did - what they do best. With Sehwag playing that way, he have to be on your toes and be prepared to see him go anytime. And it happened! It was Sehwag's dismissal that disturbed Sachin. Sachin shouldnt bat anywhere else because he is best in the Powerplay overs and at the beginning.

I know. I would drop Praveen. But I think since this is India, he might be persisted with for that innings.

Just log in to give a LOL to the Aussie team :p

Turbanator FTW :banana2 only if he turned that to a a sixty run we would have won, anyway looking forward to the 2nd ODI, already seeing the Oz owned ;)

Now waiting for the 2nd ODI! I am expecting a more fiery game from India after they almost won us the first one. Since this is a 7-ODI, we have all chances to bounce back and take the lead.

The squad selected for India was only for its first two ODI's, then wat i feel is Rohit Sharma should be called back in place of R. Jadeja and if yuraj is fit then Raina has to go.

No way! Rohit Sharma would struggle big time against Australia. I am confident about it. He is not yet ready to play consistently for India. He needs to work a lot on his game. He is good only for T20's.

Still we lack the same as before decent pace bowler, nehra was looking good.

UV! King of ODI! King of 100's back into the ODI side, so this will surely make a difference.

I was covering the Syed Musthaq trophy which was being held until yesterday. Rohit Sharma was nowhere close to his best. He is not coming back for a while, lest of course selectors come up with another shocker (first being dropping Rahul Dravid)
