Ok. This is huge. The only reason I'm playing the waiting game right now is because we are 1 mislynch away from defeat.

While PE's explanation makes total sense, I cannot rule out the possibility of a false claim. I'll try to elaborate on that below.

Assuming PE is fake claiming:
- The reason for this could be that the mafia decided to sacrifice one of them for the greater good i.e making the mafia win
- What will the real cop do? If he claims too and provides ample evidence of him saying the truth, PE will be lynched today but the cop will be killed at night too and we won't know who the other one is.
- If the real cop choses to remain silent, Rebel will get killed and we will lose another townie at night


Assuming PE is telling the truth:
- Rebel will be lynched today but unfortunately PE will also be killed at night
- We still don't know who the second one is, though I may have an inclination towards one
- It will be 3 vs 1 on Day 3.

As I have posted above this is an incredible move by Sod to out now and get me lynched. I am more convinced now that Jack sacrificed himself for me. Sod tried to get me at the night but when he failed to do so, he has come out with an exceptional move to take me out. Why would the only remaining town PR out so early and without even trying to get my lynched if he was indeed the cop?

The only role claim I'm expecting is from either Rebel2k19 or from his partner. And as I said, I've given my valid reason to keep the town one step ahead. If you think that I'm faking here, and I get lynched, town will be 2 down at the start of day 3. Think wisely, it is a do or die lynch for town today.

Me being mafia and fake claiming wouldn't be helpful for mafia. Because, mafia can always refrain from going down the 'day lynch' way and they could just sit back and do the night kills. Victimise someone like Ashutosh and win the game. It is very simple as mafia goon for this game. So why would I risk myself by fake claiming when I can easily win by going diplomatic way?

I've tried my best to convince you guys. Whatever it takes, I've done. See if you can win it from here. I've given a breakthrough for town. I'm going to my exam now and may come back by evening. Kindly ignore my inactivity.

A very well thought out mafia move and I appreciate it. But let me post my part now and let the others decide whom to believe. I am Thor, the town cop. I investigated Rudi last night, he is a townie. Hence I was so reluctant on lynching him today. I was mainly supporting Ashutosh to try and see if he pushes hard for a lynch. And you counter questioning him makes me feel, you both are a team!

How would you explain the fact that you were very supportive of Rudi at the start of game when others suspected his move and after day ended, you went on to investigate the person who you are quite positive about his gameplay?

No way the only PR remaining would openly out himself without even trying to give subtle hints. Sod outing means the real cop, which is me will have to out and there goes our only PR remaining at the night. If I am lynched now, 3 townies and 2 mafias remain. At the night, one more townie is surely killed. Game over on day 3. A very nice move Sod but if people will think clearly and then decide then they will know who is who.

Listen people, there are 100s of characters in marvel universe. If I faked here, I could've used any name to avoid the fake claim. There are many characters like Vision, Spiderman, Black Panther, Hulk who are powerful. Why is that my claim and Rebel's claim is of same character? How did I know it is Thor- the town cop? I could've said, Hulk the town cop.

That only he would know. Maybe he knew in hindsight I will be the one targeted first up, no matter what.

Again you are harping about the same thing. I only posted once about Rudi being a magnet but the way he was behaving was weird and hence I had to investigate him. He camw as town and hence why I didn't lynch him even if people were trying to jump on him. You and Ashutosh being the main ones.

Are you insinuating that Rudi could be Rebel's partner? This is interesting because at the start of Day 2, Rudi kind of appeared to soft claim by saying Jack would have, in all probability, protected him on night 1. If Jack had doubts on both, then why would he protect Rudi.

Ugh! This is getting a bit chaotic. Will have to go through all posts again.

That is why I said he claimed the character he shouldn't have because I am Thor. He has been very smart from the beginning mentioning he knows nothing about the marvel universe. See, he knows if one townie is lynched today, it's game over for us. That is why he put the trap on me.

That is a stupid question tbh. If we speak in that regards then no one had done anything to have warranted a saving on day 1. But Jack saved someone and died himself. He himself knows whom he saved. I am just posting what I feel might have happened given Sod outing like that.

Honestly speaking, I haven't seen a single Avengers movie. I know, it's a bit embarrassing but that is what it is. :

I don't know much about the characters other than Captain America, Iron Man, Hulk, Thor and Spiderman. And, I have got one of those characters which I mentioned.

I honestly don't think that is a good strategy. The only reason I'm being hesitant to trust PE or Rebel for that matter is that it will turn out to be a game changer. So I've to be absolutely sure of the person telling the truth.

Based on the defences put forward by them both, I see merit in both cases. PE, however, holds a slight advantage (51-49) for the time being simply because he was the first to claim cop. But if history is anything to go by, that alone isn't sufficient as we have seen people get incredibly lucky with their claims. So there is always this thing at the back of my mind that wonders if PE's case is the same...

So I'm at a dead end right now but I'm hoping there is some concrete evidence that would sway my vote.
