Bangladesh in Kenya/Zimbabwe

That was a good match to watch. Great effort by Chigumbura to finish it off and the drop catch of Matsikanyeri didn't help the Banglas either. They'll be looking to bite back today.

Mupariwa has always impressed me. I mean, his career average is around 20 against every team he has played.
And Chigumbura, yup, he is a real star. Maitsekinyeri was suprising though.

Zimbabwe win the toss and elect to field first. Farhad Roza (Or Reza, apparently...) is in the squad today, replacing Alok Kapali. No changes for the Zimbabweans (Duh...)

Mupariwa strikes and Omar is back in the pavillion for 10. 17/1 after 5.1 overs...

Mupariwa tends to be a little expensive against the better teams, although at 21 he has plenty of years of improvement left.

It's good to see that Zimbabwe haven't lost any ground to Bangladesh. The positive for Zimbabwe is that aslong as they stop losing players that they will only move forward.

Bangladesh have levelled the series.

2nd ODI Result

Bangladesh innings: 238/8 (Farhad Reza 50)
Zimbabwe innings: 175 all out

Bangladesh win by 63 runs

Oops, so they did! My bad! :p

Anyways, Bangladesh have won by 63 runs. After stuttering to 238/8 after 50 overs, Ferhad Reza making a fifty on debut, Masud with a steady 48, Rafique making a fine 32, and Aftab with a blazing 40, they bowled Zimbabwe out for 175. Mahwire bowled quite well, and the other seamers weren't bad. Utseya was economical. For Bangla, Rafique and Razzak each picked up 2 wickets and went for less than 30 runs, while Shadat got 3. Zimbabwe's top scorers were Vusi Musi Sibanda with 33, and Matsikenyeri with 46.

Mahwire has been in good form in his past few ODIs, surprised they left him out in the first game. Good bowling by Bangladesh especially from their slow men in Abdur Razzak and Mohammad Rafique.

Bashar will be missing the rest of the tour with a broken thumb. Ouch. Masud will be skipper, and no replacement will be called.

Aftab Ahmed is really starting to open up his wings. A nice 50 today from 30-odd balls before being done in by a fantastic slower ball.

Zimbabwe win the third ODI on the last ball of the match.

Result

Bangladesh innings: 236 all out (Rajin Saleh 54, Aftab Ahmed 53)
Zimbabwe innings: 238/8 (Taylor 79 not out)

Zimbabwe win by 2 wickets

That's brillaint for Zimbabwe. At this rate, Andrew might even say they are getting better!

17 needed off the last over and then it was 5 from 1 ball. Taylor hit a six off the last ball to clinch victory. Thrilling match!

Unbeleivable win! Was at a friend's house, saw the scorecard on Cricinfo. First, when they needed 40 off like 20 balls, he said it was impossible. However, it went right down to the wire, and Taylor did it!! What a star!!
