Bangladesh tour of England, May-July 2010

I don't blame them, Swann found some ripping deliveries in the surface. I don't think England would have batted particularly well against him in full flight today.

When you look at a follow-on score, you might also want to look at it from the other end. 419 was simply too many runs. Bangladesh were a little unlucky with a couple of lbws, but if they were better at sustaining pressure (rather than squirting it out sporadically) they may well have bowled England out for 300 or less.

Tamim seems to give his wicket away easily after getting 100s very consistently. Over celebrates too from what I've seen. He should start treating 100s like 50s and if he really plays for himself target 200.

I think it's harsh to say anything against the only batsman to score any notable runs.

Watching the final session of the day ATM and am loving Shahzad's spell. We've been looking for someone capable of bowling with pace and reverse swing, and this lad is capable of that. Generally bowls around 86mph and gets the ball to reverse, he looks a genuine prospect, can see why Flower rates him now. He doesn't have a great FC record, but he looks slightly raw, and it's been mentioned that he's been working on his fitness since his early days at Yorkshire. Enjoyed watching him bowl a lot tonight, maybe resting Broad wasn't such a bad thing after all. The youngsters have stepped up with the ball in this series. Finn has bowls beautifully and now Shahzad's looking good. Delighted they went for him ahead of Sidearse for this Test.

Maybe we could go with 5 bowlers now too? Broad, Swann, Shahzad, Anderson and Finn provides us with some depth in the batting as those first 3 are more than handy and also depth and variety in the bowling. Definitely worth thinking about for the tour to Australia.

Well I had a great day there! Glad I saw Bell reach 100, Prior was just a bit stupid with how he got out, should've just took the singles and the ton would've come for him and Tamim Iqbal just plays ODI in whites, was another great knock from him but good response from the bowlers to take all 10 wickets in the last session.

^^ I just wanna know if the English crowd enjoyed Tamim's batting, or were they getting pissed off?

They were mixed, he got a standing ovation when he got to his hundred. I wanted him to make a score, just so I could see how he plays.

Bangladesh need to maintain their standard of play across sessions. I'd hate to be in a situation whre one wicket could spell the end.

BTW, 2 huge and +1 bad call against us, w/o counting Shahadat's call. I wont count that because we shouldn't even be in that situation. IDC about how he could have scored those 3 runs. I know he would have but no.

Tamim throws his wicket away again :facepalm Bangladesh :facepalm

On another note, hope Graeme Swann enjoys his time before the inevitable doom down under. :yes

Bit steep to blame Tamim

It's just that Tamim is a class above everyone else in that team, we already know that the rest of the Bangladeshi team collapses regularly anyway so the blame must go to the only person that knows how to hold a bat, and that person carelessly threw his wicket away.

^^ Pretty much what I said on here and on other places. He knows how to kill opposition attack and frustrate them. But he also makes the soo confident by feeding his wicket to them. And rest of the team crumbles after that. I expected better from Rahim and Riyad. Idk what happened to Shakib's batting. And Siddique isnt gonna do it every time. Middle order was doing so good for last few months. Finally top order is giving them the start and making their life easier, and now they are failing.

They need ashraful to to calm down and play properly for once. He comes out hits a few fours and then throws his wicket away- and he's suppose to be the senior batsman. :facepalm
