Bangladesh tour of England, May-July 2010

If Matty bats for 2-3 hours, we could have 600 by Tea. Not bowling too bad this morning. Though why he keeps grunting when he's barely pushing 80, is a mystery.

Thats it. Tamim is done. Why the hell would you slide like that on your broken wrist!?

Absolutely terrible, Strauss and Trottsky apart. 419/6 of which those two have scored 282 and the rest chipped in with 7 + 18 + 17 + 44 + 16 = 102

And as I type Trottsky reaches his double, sad thing is he could have got a triple or better if the middle order had stood up and been counted. 188/1 to 400/6 is not clever on a pitch where one batsman has a double to his name

Still more than enough to win the game by an Innings I'd bet.

That's the saddest part of it all, this shouldn't even be a contest.

Not sure what Bangladesh are trying to get from this, if they're playing "damage limitation" then they should have their Test status suspended because that's pointless, a defeat is a defeat regardless of the margin.

And what are England gaining? Trottsky is boosting his average, but long-term he needs runs against better opposition. I suspect the tail will wag, and then make hard work of taking out their batsmen without ever letting them back into the Test. I hope Trottsky starts laying into the bowling, to go for 300+ and to stop the match stagnating which is the big danger the way things are going.

And what is Bresnan at? If he thinks he'll secure his place in the side scoring slow runs against Bangladesh he's kidding himself.

Well bowled Shahadat, now we need a 100 from Tamim and some handy contributions from the middle order and hopefully get to around 350.

Really poor bowling from Bresnan thus far. Has looked way short of test quality. Andersons bowled ok but hasn't looked overtly dangerous.

Time for Finn I thinks.

Completely agree. Bresnan's been pathetically bad, especially that last over. Jimmeh's bowled alright, just been a bit too short and way too one-dimensional. Could do with Finn and Swanneh coming on and getting a few.

What a brilliant piece of fielding but he looked safe to me... and is easily safe.

Come on Finn need to tighten up a bit.

Finn does take a little while to get going though whenever I've seen him. Bowled a pretty poor 3 over first spell on Test debut before coming good later in the day. Hopefully he'll find his lines a bit quicker today, last couple of deliveries have been good, and his pace is decent. Was a better over than Bresnan's last one anyway.

Get Swanneh on with Finn TBH.

Good start by Bangladesh, Tamim should just play his natural game and Imrul should just block everything and make sure he doesn't get out.

Awesome, My favourite Englishman gets a double! (only because he played for Otago, and I loved him back then) :D
