Bangladesh tour of England, May-July 2010

Jesus Christ. Who is behind this gameplan? Kayes and Siddique are playing the short delivery well. They've had more trouble with Finn, the one pitching the thing up, so what does Anderson do? Yeah, that's right, bowls an over of half trackers. Genius. Get Swann on FFS.

Swann should've come on a lot earlier tbh. I thought it was a greenish wicket but it seems more like a batting pitch. All you have to get to do is get your eye in then just pile up the runs.

Is it just me or does Bresnan just seem so average. With the other guys like Finn and Onions I see room for lots of improvement and potential, Bresnan just seems so meh. Average cricketer.

Strauss an idiot again for waiting so long to bring on Swann, arguably his best bowler.

Totally agree. I actually posted this about Bresnan an hour an a half ago on CW:

I actually cannot stand watching Tim Bresnan bowl. Don't like the way he runs in, don't like his bowling action and he does nothing exceptional with the ball bar the odd one or two good deliveries, it's just all so ugly to watch. I'm certainly not relishing the prospect of seeing Anderson and Bresnan opening up in Australia if they continue to bowl like this. I'd hope we find an alternative to Bresnan by then. I'm praying that either Finn starts bowling beautifully, or that either Onions or Jones make a speedy recovery. I do not want to see Bresnan in Australia, he just isn't good enough.

As for Strauss, arguably his best bowler? Definitely his best bowler, there's no arguing against it TBH. Swann is miles ahead of the rest of this attack ATM. Finn's surprisingly been the pick of the seamers too. Finn > Anderson > Bresnan. Though there's not much separating the last 2.

Bangladesh doing well =O

This is a really good platform for them. I hope they don't collapse all of a sudden. It's a bit of a habit they have =/

The only good thing to come from this innings is that Finn definetly looks like hes capable at this level. Miles the better of our seam bowlers.

Bresnan has looked very poor and if this were Australia (without meaning any diservice to Bangladesh who have played rather well) he would have been going for a good six runs an over.

Anderson just looks plain out of form so not too much of an issue compared to Bresnan who just doesn't look good enough.

Goddamn it!

he mouthed a send-off to Bresnan while reaching down to kiss the Bangladesh badge on the breast of his shirt. But, unfortunately for Shahadat (though happily for a certain telecoms firm) he picked the wrong side, and planted a smacker on the emblem of the team sponsor.

What's he trying pull here? a Bollinger?

I'm going to day 2 at OT! Dads just ordered tickets and i've ordered the ODI shirt :p

I never really rated Bresnan, but he did bowl well in Bangladesh, I thought he was just in as a replacement but now they are taking him more seriously.

Tamim's run out was a disaster, he was looking dangerous. Junaid is in now, I hope he can get the 100 and the other guys need to chip in with some useful contributions.
