Batting and Bowling Nets now available in the Cricket Academy

Loving the feedback guys, anything picked up will help us - remember this is pre-release and Beta.

There is a lot of new animation in the game, of course all of the female animations are totally new - we purchased our own mo-cap facility for which DBC is the first "client".

Can you vary the pace of spin bowling?
Yeah..Adding more flight to deliveries lowers the speed and you can limit the speed if you can hit the release as soon as it enters the green color...

BTW deliveries with flight look beautiful..Only the turn is missing for me.
 
When BigAnt tweeted about something in a week i guessed it was a Friday aand it is. Great Work though batting is hard :p but i will get it Bowling is so real Loving it Thanks BigAnt
 
I am not going to talk about the good things of this release! As everyone can feel what's good. That's why highlighting the aspects where improvements are needed.
Bowling:
Spin bowling is still disappointing. There is no turn. Tried doosra but still it's going the other way because of the drift.
I guess big ant will tweak the bowling mechanism later.

Batting:
There hasn't been much of a change in batting animations excepts back-foot shots. But shots are looking much more polished and fluent than before. I hope there will be lots of new animations for batting (men and women). It will be a setback for me (don't know about others) , if all the batsmen bat with same stances and same looking shots like dbc14.
While batting short pitched spin deliveries aren't bouncing the way it should. The exact same problem dbc14 had when it got released at first.
I will keep adding if i can find more..
 
Dont you think it would be great if batsman head move woth where balls go for a moment after playing shot sepecially in edges
 
Noticed another flaw:
While batting off-break balls are turning away from the right handed batsman and leg break balls are turning inward.

Yes they will tweak the drift early next week but the direction of doosra and off-breaks are reversed. Same for Leg spinner. Check again.[DOUBLEPOST=1471009882][/DOUBLEPOST]

Yeah. They will surely correct that.
 
There's more additions to the logo creator.

Prefab shapes, numbers, symbols and letters have now been unlocked.
The cursor resolution issue has been fixed.
And number values have been added to the colour, saturation, brightness colour values.
It's also worth noting that the controls screen is nets specific. So not all the controls have been revealed just yet. ;)

I have never had a crash to desktop issue before but all of a sudden when I try go into Logo Creator it crashes. Everything else works great including nets. Have tried batting and bowling, went through some of my creations but Logo Creator is a no go. Any thoughts?
 
Will a batsman or just a dummy in a batting pose be added to face the bowlers in nets?

Liking the new gameplay, i'm house sitting at the moment but head home to my PC after work to give it a go only batted so can only comment on that.

- Love how leg glances and pulls/hooks have separate inputs now. On the front foot flick the right stick down to third man and you'll get a glance, flick it square and you'll get a pull/hook.

- Combine a leg glance with the precision modifier on a short body line ball and you can flick it really fine, very satisfying. Can't gauge if it is possible to flick it fine and have it run away to the boundary, which happened very rarely in 14 only if you edged it down leg side i believe.

- New slog cover drive animation looks really brutal, I love it!

- New square cut animations are great! much needed change.

- Back foot leg glance and back foot cover drive are a bit iffy. When i think back foot cover drive i think elegance, the way the Waugh boys, Martyn, Langer used to play them off the back foot. Not sold on the current animation.

- Inclusion of 3 different types of shot feedback is very smart, will help a lot of people, especially new players!

- These animations are so smooth.

- Precision shot having its own button is also very smart, the half pressed trigger in 14 was a pain.

- Good decision to move the advance shots to a toggle, it's premeditated anyway so freeing up a shoulder button for another shot type is great.

- Where is the helicopter shot? Where is the talking pirate? wHEN Iz ReLEASE DATE @R0ss
 
I'm not getting good FPS due to old system config. Can anyone tell me the use of the new marker system? Why do we need to set it?
