Glad to see the first battle started, but what exactly do I have to do?

Go over the list and see if you think there's a name in there that doesn't belong there, as in there's someone better who deserves to be in the top 64. The battles haven't started yet, I will randomly pit two players against each other for each battle.

I think someone said earlier Andrew that the Don would be left out as he was more than likely to win no matter what. I mean you'd need someone averaging around 95% lower with the ball than their nearest competitor to get get an equal with the ball to Bradmans dominance with the bat. Err so that would be around 2-5 then :p

How anybody can name a list of 64 top Australian players without Don Bradman in it is beyond me.
Yeah, really no point having a battle of the Australians if Bradman's in it. This is really more of a battle of the second best Australian.

Hmmm, maybe Sid Barnes should be in there? I'm not sure who he would replace as some of the names in there I have never heard of. Then again, if you added him then you'd might have to add Mike Hussey. Maybe replace one of them with Sid Gregory? His batting record doesn't seem to impress and it doesn't look like he ever bowled.

Off the top of my head, I'd probably say Shane Warne is the second best Australian player.

Although, I think I like the concept of this game. Good idea, nightprowler10.

Would be hard for a lot of us to compare the modern greats with past greats as we wouldn't have seen them. I would like a Mike Hussey added but probably hasn't played enough yet.

Paul Reiffel could be another, he was a dam good bowler for Australia.

I still dont understand this, all you do is post 64 Aussie players from past and present and we say who else should have been in there?

Nah this is the initial list of players that then will be used to battle. Consider this the build up (pre) stage.
Next Nightprowler will put players to face each other e.g McGrath vs Dennis Lillee and members state why they think McGrath or Lillee is better. The guy with the most votes moves to the next round. So after round 1 we will have 32 players left, then 16 and so on until one player remains.

Well thats from reading Nightprowlers post and seeing other games like this in action.

Yep Sly that's how it works, fairly pointless but I guess it helps pass the time between meals :p

Personally I don't think Hussey should be in there, he's only played a year of test cricket.

Yeah, but he has a Test average of 75 and a ODI average of 77. You can't ignore those figures.

Many thanks to the guys who took their time looking through the list. I'm not sure how it could be more pointless than Cricksim, vCash, rep points, Stick Cricket league, etc. But to each their own, I guess. To me, this could be a chance for some people to look at stats of the players of the past and maybe learn something about them.

I like the idea of having Paul Reiffel in there instead of Syd Gregory, what do people think of that. Mike Hussey and Sid Barnes haven't played enough in my opinion but I'll keep them in mind. I'm also thinking of removing Jack Iverson from the list, who should replace him?
