Boxing

im at a 40th birthday party this sat but im going to disappear upstairs for the khan fight lol, i doubth calzaghe would fight woods TBH, i think after he retires hopkins he may think about ending it

Khan wins, wasn't exactly exciting but a knock out was unlikely, still if he wants people to take him seriously then he's going to have to start pulling a few big performances out the bag. Still he did the important bit and got the win.

More importantly my Haye-Macca tickets have arrived, are pinned to my noticeboard and I'm excited :D

Khan best performence so far in my opinion- showed he can fight againist opponents who like to defend and wait. And he won 120-108 on all 3 cards meaning he won every round- absoulute class.

New poll please :p

Khans fighting kristjansen now, well again sort of but you get what I mean. Apparently he could be fighting the world champion Diaz if he wins, well I haven't seen anything of him but he's only 24 and is unbeaten so that will be when Khan gets his arse kicked :p

I'm glad I didn't have to shell out for that heavyweight unification 'fight' last night, it had to be one of the most boring fights I've ever sat through! Still, some of the other bouts, especially the Duddy fight made up for it, what a fight that was!!

Yeh the duddy one was great, he got a nasty cut though and wouldn't stand a chance against Pavlik. Klitschko was just too big and his reach was so much longer he was able to use it and be comfortable throughout. We need a proper heavyweight, Tyson, Lewis, Ali, where are they now? Maybe it will be David Haye

I like the sound of 'Prizefighter', the new tournament being held to find new British heavyweight talent, I'll definitely catch that one!

Edit: It'd be fun to see Vladmir fight his brother, Vitali!!

Last night was absolute class. 20000 in there, amazing atmosphere, loads of cockneys going ingurland in the first round outsinging the welsh :D Ended up watching the whole undercard really, wel most of it, spent some time outside but it was quality anyway. The first bloke I saw there was dressed pretty much like Don King, had a massive can and fur coat and covered in bling :D

Kevin Mitchell impressed me, he could have lost that fight, he looked to have tired himself out a bit too much trying to dance around the ring in the first couple of rounds but his class told from a position where he could well have lost it. I only reckon he'll fight khan when he's a world champion and so's Khan so it will be a superfight with 2 Brits which I'm sure Frank Warren would love. He might be a prick but he's a rich one. His brother Vinnie was good too ;) Paul Smith was alright too, good win. Those triplets, (I think I missed one of them) were great at showboating.

It was pretty amazing when Evander Holyfield came in and the whole crowd got up and gave him a standing ovation and when they all started chantng Bruno too after Frank was introduced. But forget them, I saw the fat bloke from the office :p

Haye was immense, when he came in and geed up the crowd he was brilliant and he backed it up. He destroyed Macca, he was absolutely rapid, that lad is seriously something, everytime Macca threw a punch he had once come back at him twice as fast, twice as hard and twice as accurate. Haye will murder Klitschko although I'd suggest he fights someone of a similar size first just to adjust. The only problem after the fight was some moron decided to resurface the road right outside the dome after the fight, we managed to escape but some people will have been stuck there for hours.

Cruiserweight should be interesting now, but haye at heavyweigh is my new hero of British boxing. Joe's still up there too. I see Samuel Peter won convincgly last night, if he fights Vitali and wins then I could see him beating Wladimir and if he wins that then Haye will fight him if he can do it at heavyweight.

There's some more good fights coming up too, obviously Calzaghe will be good and if he wins he could end up fighting Froch but he'll probably vacate the title. Mayweather-De La Hoya II in September, Mayweather still avoiding Cotto but if he wins this one then there's only one fight left for him if doesn't retire.

Anyway Paquiao V Marquez is a must watch this weekend.

wish i was there so much but i stayed up at home watching it, michesll is simple box office, he loves to stand and trade, he was clearly the better boxer but has no defence, despite that he was willing to take 3 punches to land 1 yet still forced the stoppege, great boxer.

also, Haye>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Welsh bloke lol

You have to think if Mitchell went like that in a world title fight he'd get knocked spark out though.

Hayes brilliant :D proper character and gees up the crowd which makes him even better for me. I want to go stateside and watch him!

Hattons announced his fight, it's on box office and i'm not paying £15 for it unless there's a very good undercard. I'll watch it on the web for free especially as it will be on at a normal time (in other words HBO don't like Hatton now he's lost his perfect record :p)

Paqiuao won another controversial one, he had the only knockdown and was rewarded for his agression whilst Marquez just counter punched, Marquez got a bad cut but it was from an accidental headbutt. Great fight

IM GOING TO THE HATTON FIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

its my birthday on the 16th of may so the girlfriend has bought me tickets for it

Nice one, hopefully it lasts a bit longer than the fight I went too :p It's not that far away either, any good fights on the undercard yet? I'm sure i heard someone say Malignaggi was on it and then they will fight in a few months but thats probably me off with the fairys.

You should see a knockout anyway really. If it goes to points he won't lose.

malignaggi is prob going to be on there, but the only comfirmed undercard fighter is his younger brother lol

also, the capisity for the fight is 55,000, over 50,000 have been sold in the first 4 days of being on sale!!!

Excited yet?

I'd imagine likem you'll be heading for this one if it happens

As much as I want to see Ricky get a second shot I'd much rather Mayweather stopped running away from Cotto, it's better for the sport.

Joel Casamoy V Michael Katsidis was class, a really top fight with everything.
