Last night was absolute class. 20000 in there, amazing atmosphere, loads of cockneys going ingurland in the first round outsinging the welsh
Ended up watching the whole undercard really, wel most of it, spent some time outside but it was quality anyway. The first bloke I saw there was dressed pretty much like Don King, had a massive can and fur coat and covered in bling
Kevin Mitchell impressed me, he could have lost that fight, he looked to have tired himself out a bit too much trying to dance around the ring in the first couple of rounds but his class told from a position where he could well have lost it. I only reckon he'll fight khan when he's a world champion and so's Khan so it will be a superfight with 2 Brits which I'm sure Frank Warren would love. He might be a prick but he's a rich one. His brother Vinnie was good too
Paul Smith was alright too, good win. Those triplets, (I think I missed one of them) were great at showboating.
It was pretty amazing when Evander Holyfield came in and the whole crowd got up and gave him a standing ovation and when they all started chantng Bruno too after Frank was introduced. But forget them, I saw the fat bloke from the office
Haye was immense, when he came in and geed up the crowd he was brilliant and he backed it up. He destroyed Macca, he was absolutely rapid, that lad is seriously something, everytime Macca threw a punch he had once come back at him twice as fast, twice as hard and twice as accurate. Haye will murder Klitschko although I'd suggest he fights someone of a similar size first just to adjust. The only problem after the fight was some moron decided to resurface the road right outside the dome after the fight, we managed to escape but some people will have been stuck there for hours.
Cruiserweight should be interesting now, but haye at heavyweigh is my new hero of British boxing. Joe's still up there too. I see Samuel Peter won convincgly last night, if he fights Vitali and wins then I could see him beating Wladimir and if he wins that then Haye will fight him if he can do it at heavyweight.
There's some more good fights coming up too, obviously Calzaghe will be good and if he wins he could end up fighting Froch but he'll probably vacate the title. Mayweather-De La Hoya II in September, Mayweather still avoiding Cotto but if he wins this one then there's only one fight left for him if doesn't retire.
Anyway Paquiao V Marquez is a must watch this weekend.
