6. Matt Prior
7. Gary Holroyd
8. Murtaza Hussein

A bad game for us there, we made early inroads, but big partnerships between Nash and Goodwin, and then some big shots from Wright and Holroyd at the end of their innings got them to a very good total, which we couldn't hope of chasing. Mason and Shakib were good with the ball, but everyone else was expensive, and they got smashed in the batting powerplay. Mitchell and Ali batted well early on in the chase, but Keegan ripped out the middle order with a hattrick. Some good aggressive batting from Arif got us a bit closer, but we still fell 54 runs behind in the end.

Sussex win by 54 runs

Good batting from Ali and Arif, but by the looks of things no one else really done what was required.
BTW your title is wrong. ;)

After how Mitchell's bowling went in the my T20 games, I may take a bit of a gamble and play him as my fifth bowling option, that will allow me to play my new WK down at eight, and have all specialist batsmen plus Shakib in my top seven.

woops lol

Mitchell got smashed in my match (I bowled him as a part timer). Not sure how good it'll be to play him as a bowler.

Arif has batted really well this season for some reason :/

Arif is way overrated as a batsman, he's been doing a decent job for me down the order as well.

Mitchell's bowling was stunning for me in my T20 campaign, remember I only won one game, and these were his stats; 24 overs, 6 wickets @ 27.3 (E/R 6.7).
Easily my most economical bowler, and he usually bowled in the middle-later overs.

Comments:

What an unbelievable batting performance. We didn't bowl very well, having to chase down 272 to win. Solanki got out for 2 which wasn't a great start but Manuel and Mitchell got things back on track. Manuel finally went for a run a ball 29 but Mitchell and Al Hasan fired scoring 104 and 64 respectively. It wasn't settled just yet, Adler hitting a 19 ball unbeaten 33 along with Kervezee's 32 off 36 balls to get the team over the line. Mitchell has already scored 280 runs @ 70 in 5 matches with 2 centuries along with his 590 runs @ 49.17 in FC cricket.

Great run chase there!
Mitchell seems to be our best domestic player ATM.

Wow that was a great chase by your team! I wish my batsmen could stick around that long :p

MOTM:

Daryl Mitchell (55* off 101 and 4 for 22 from 7.1 overs)

Reaction:

Daryl Mitchell again!

Our bowlers were amazing, which was what set up the win. Up top Arif and Richardson both picked up two early wickets in the powerplay overs, which immediately put them on the back foot. Shakib and Mitchell came on in the middle overs, and plugged their middle order batsmen. A surprise batting powerplay meant I had to change my bowling tactics, meaning Mitchell would have to bowl at the death. This proved to be a massive positive, as he picked up the last four Sussex bowlers wickets, finishing with great figures.

We started off quietly, as we lost two early wickets. I completely stuffed up the run chase, meaning me needed 40 runs off the last five overs. Choudhry however took apart the Sussex death bowlers, taking 13 runs off the 36th over, 12 runs off the 37th over, and another 13 runs off the 38th over all but taking us to the win.

What an emphatic performance in our first 40 over match for almost two months, Mitchell picked up his second MOTM performance in a row, as we moved off the bottom of the Challenge Trophy table for the first time this season.

Great win there. Did we want to play another game today or have a rest?

Na, we'll just go one match a day from here on in, as there's no more T20 matches.

Only 16 more matches to go (maybe 17 as I think we verse Pakistan), and we've already played 31.

ATM everyone's coming first in one table, second in one table, and third in one table. :spy

Ok then. That sounds good. And yeah, I've actually won 4 out of 6 in One Day cricket.

Yeah I saw that, nice work.
If you continue that from, you'll have an outside chance of getting into the top two, and maybe make it into the semis.

My main goal's now set on the County Championship, as I feel I've found the right playing XI to make a mid-table finish.

BTW my playing XI's now three stars, what about you guys?
